how this all works out. From what I understand, stand-alone obedience, rally, and agility events can decide to offer mixed breed classes. The hope is to get more people involved with the AKC. Purebreds without papers can already compete in these events through the PAL program, but they compete in the same classes with papered dogs. These would be separate classes so that the purebreds and mixes would not compete against eachother.
