This year we have dissected a dog, horse, cow, toad, fish, snake, turtle, pigeon, and we had dissected specimens of pig, goat, and sheep to learn from. The preserved specimens arent too gross, but occasionally, we get fresh limbs and stuff to learn joints.
Better to have your vet first learn to cut on dead things than live ones!
