Just like any other command I teach....sit, down, drop, off....quiet was another word my dogs learn. When they hear QUIET....that means instant quiet. The doorbell rings, they bark, I say quiet, and it is instant hush.
Like I said before, I HATE barking so I teach mine that fast.
