Koda gets in his whacky play mode and I will run back and forth from the front room to the kitchen and he acts like he wants to nip at my heels he never does but he wants me to turn around.. well he does his vocalizations/growls and then gets down waves his front paws out a couple times and turns his head down and tries to 'bite' the carpet (thankfully he doesn't damage it) he does his biting and grunts a little then jumps up crazy dancing around..
He also does it when I/we come home to greet us..crazy paw waving and howls and carpet play..
So whos' Akita is a crazy carpet biter? is this more common or random exceptions to the breed?
feel free to list any crazy play quirks besides carpet biting..
He LOVES to do this too....brushing the carpet for me, I guess! You can see a LITTLE carpet biting in there..then he gets some carpet stuck in his teeth, lol!

Rip grass up. When i am outside with her playing and running around and when i stop and kind jump at her she lets out a loud howl and grunt and then she rips grass up, its to funny.
*I dont have a Crazy Caarpet Biter tho. lol!

Or at least thats what I call it. lol
Mine doesn't bite the carpet but he will lay out and paw at the carpet. He does do the jumping around like a idiot, and Wooooo! man does he love to talk to us woorrrroooo's all day long when he is happy, or wants something, like attention "he hates to be ignored" which we do on purpose just to get him going. There such clowns when there alone with there family.
kody is definitely a biter, it seems to be how he gets out his excitement; he's gotten a lot better through training but he still sometimes makes believe he's chasing me with his teeth lol but he's very big on standing on his back feet and then pounding his front ones down over and over while roo roo-ing! i swear kody is the most vocal dog in the world; i didnt even know dog's could make these sounds! if you turn your back on him, he immediately does this low rumbling growl it's so funny cause it's just for attention
