This past weekend I went up to the Seattle Dog show and had a great time.  I got to meet alot of the Washington akita rescue people and see alot of beautiful dogs. 

While I was up there I signed the official document ....Shakira is now officially a foster failure and belongs to me!!!  We have had her 6 months and it has so far been a learning experience for us all.  I could not put her through another failed adoption and we have bonded so much that  I would just cry at the thought of losing her. 

So......... "You are home Shakira!!!"

having 3 females they all get along? or who is the leader of the 3?

and if you count Jasmine....we have 4 females.  As of right now Shakira has never been with the others.  I only allow them to be next to each other in the kennels.  They are slowly getting used to each other.  I will never be able to leave them together.  It's just a fact of life with Akitas.

Shakira is only 2 and still full of energy .......so she gets the others going........it's a work in progress..

Cheers to long life and happiness for Shakira in her great "new" home!

we are all very happy to have her!!  She's the only dog I have ever seen that can grab her tail ..tuck her head under and do a somersalt...she is hysterical!!
