What a tragedy.........

June 25 2009, 6:49 PM

and what a sad loss of life ...all those beautiful dogs.   I hope they get the real story as to what happened so this can never happen again!

I can't imagine leaving 7 dogs stacked in kennels in  a van overnite even in good weather.  There is no good excuse...so very sad.

That is a horrible story! My dog Hachi is from the same breeder who bred Jersey. Before purchasing Hachi, I had spoken to Monica about her experience with the breeder and how wonderful Jersey turned out to be. This situation could have been avoided and what a tradegy to lose 7 great dogs!

From the breeder....

Dear all

Finally yesterday,, I pretty much had all the facts,, took me awhile to
piece interviews together and collect the information. I actually prayed
Mary was telling the truth and it was all simply a VERY tragic mistake and
her career as a dog handler could stay intact. I am a mother and I have
known Mary for a long time she is a little older then my son. My heart
really did go out to Mary and what she will have to live with for the rest
of her life. That I could forgive Poor taste in judgment and live with the
facts that the dogs suffered and died but that it truly was an accident..
BUT it was NOT an accident or a tragic mistake..

What it was IMO was a CRIME sheer neglect on the part of Mary!!!! NO One
this list would have done what she did.

When I am able to make public the facts. I will..

When i lived in Arizona you would not believe how many people thought it was OK to leave their dogs in the car.. are you kidding me? We went out to breakfast one morning before heading out to the lake and saw a terrier type in a locked caddie. The windows were all up so we gave the people a break and told the manager and after 10 minutes of nothing happening we called the police. The cops showed up and came in the restaurant and found the family and they screamed out "don't you people have anything better to do" he was talking to the cops and the whole restaurant he even said its not even hot yet.. The temp was around 85-95 as it would be at 9am in arizona summer.
