Response to Painting on the Sprue?

Radial engines and cowling internals, exhausts, landing gear legs, wheel wells & doors, cockpit walls, floor, bulkheads, seats and other internals. I don't have a problem cleaning paint off the components for assembly. My paint of choice is Humbrol enamels, my adhesive is Plastic Weld solvent, which is hot enough to work straight through the enamel - never had a problem using it this way.

I have found this a useful method for 'production-lining' kits, as I can use a single colour and pre-prepare several kits in the stash this way, with minimal risk of losing components. That is how come I have 4 x Tomahawks and 11 x Hurricanes work in progress. Then I batch paint the camo colours - e.g. all the Dark Earth, or GSB, at one sitting - speeds the painting process and reduces cleanup time. If I didn't do this I'd never get anything built. happy.gif
