Response to But Aeromaster is printed by Superscale...no?...

The Superscale decals I have are older and so perhaps thinner and better form fitting. I suspected that they were both from the same company so expected the same results, not! The last and only set of Aeromaster I bought were the roundel set. Not only did the roundels have a hard time conforming regardless of how much decal set I splashed on, but the fin flashes were so thick that I couldn't get the bleedin things to stick on the small curvature at the leading edge of the tail without gluing them down. That has been my experience, others may be different. By the way, you find any of those crated Spits yet? Seriously, I watched a trailer for the documentary on youtube and was excited to see the show. There was a short clip of an old airman who told a very interesting story. When he was about to be discharged after the war had just ended and they were shutting down the auxilliary air bases he was told that he and his mates couldn't leave until they got rid of the crated aircraft sitting out on the tarmac. I guess no one wanted to bother with scrapping them, probably because they were out in the boonies somewhere and it wasn't worth the effort (the Brits and Yanks were pushing brand new aircraft of their carriers into the Pacific) so why worry about a few antiquated airplanes? Anyway, this old guy said that they got a truck and drove them out a big pit, or mine shaft, something like that, and burried them. I guess the guys who made this documentary, or at least started it (this documentary was supposed to come out in 2008) ran out of money or couldn't find a distributor, yet if they completed it why didn't they release it on DVD? I guess we will never really know for sure. Well, good on ya mate, I reckon I'll be head'in out for a few waves. Surfed Narrabeen, Dee Why, and a few other spots, but they weren't too thrilled to see a Yank in the line up!
Cheers!
