Response to Whatever happened to the good old fashioned hobby shops?

Hi, We have one and only one LHS where I am here in Victoria, and I do my duty to help support that shop whenever I can, because I love a hobby shop! My LHS has it all, electric shavers believe it or not, rail/trains, plastic models/diecast kits, and also RC. I enjoy the visits with the staff and owner, shooting the breeze as you call it, and I buy my supplies and kits from there. They no longer are a huge supplier of aftermarket stuff, but that's when I order online, and that's ok with them and me. I would be truly disappointed if our LHS faded away, but luckily for me, Vancouver has several places to visit, plus in the USA, I can visit Skyway in Renton, Washington, which has a huge amount of kits, and a great owner. Whenever I travel, I try and look for the LHS everywhere I go, I really enjoy walking into a hobby shop, and I am glad that they exist and hope they continue to be around.
