Indeed it's rough going but the options out there do not come close to fitting my budget, sir. They just don't. So I'll make due with some 'sweat equity' and do my best appreciate that I'll have one rather than none at all. 
Seriously I am grateful for your honest observations on the kit. I already have it coming my way and teh gent was kind enough to wait until my payday. So, no backing out...that would not be kind and I already have an idea of what's in store. The big thing really is trying to locate spares/extras to cut down on my scratchbuilding and this speed up the build and have it look better.
