Taking the CO2 plunge - need some info

Unlike so many other posts about compressors, I've made the decision to go towards the gas. But I have some questions based on my research. Today I went by the local welding supply. The guy there was great and totally understood what I was going for. So here's my questions. The 2 tank options available are with a 20 lb tank for $195 outright or a 50 lb tank that I could buy for about $400 or a yearly lease at $69. My first question is which tank would be the best way to go. The 50 lb tank is really tall. Almost 5' tall. The 20 lb tank seems small but obviously easier to keep under the work table. Does any one have a good sense for how much use I could expect from either tank?

Secondly, I inquired about the needed regulator. I was quoted about $125. The 2 dial regulator was different from what I was used to. It showed tank pressure and then should flow, not PSI. Any ideas on this?

Lastly, I've seen a few use Nitrogen. Any idea on the cost of that compared to CO2?

If anyone has some pics of their setup that would be great. I've been looking at trying to find a quiet compressor and have asked about that but I've taken what all the gas guys here have said and so I'm probably heading that way.

I look forward to what usually turns into a good discussion.

Thanks, David
