Has Trumpeter released a 1/32 scale Typhoon? I know that Revell Germany has a kit available.

Any comments on either kit?

Can you point out the problems on the Trumpeter kit?

July 3 2009, 7:09 PM

Hello Mike! I just finished the nice Revell 1/48 kit. Do you know what are the problems with the Trumpeter 1/32 kit. I've seen one built on another site and sprue shots but It's really hard to tell what's wrong from there.

Best regards,

Jose Lucero

Revell EF Typhoon

July 3 2009, 3:34 PM

Hi Mark

I saw on a kit release list that Revell is re-releasing the EF Typhoon in October 2009. Not sure if there will be any upgrades but I had read somewhere that the original issue was a pre-production version. Still probably cheaper than the Trump kit.

Cheers
Chris

Revell Typhoon

July 3 2009, 6:25 PM

The Trump Typhoon has loads of problems in shape and detail.
The Revell kit is nor out for a few months but looks to be pretty much a scale up of there very good 1/48 kit. And in the UK the MRP is only £49 compared to £95 for the Trump kit.
I would wait for the Revell version but stock up the Two Bobs sheets while you can they are really nice.

RoG sprue shots on IPMS Germany here:

July 4 2009, 2:41 AM

http://www.ipmsdeutschland.de/FirstLook/Revell/Preview_Rev_Eurofighter_Typhoon_32/Eurofighter_Typhoon_ES_32.html

Appears to be more accurate in outline, better detail, better decals. Is half the price (£50 vs £100, and produced in a civilised country by fairly-paid workers.

Cheers,

Chris.

It's not a reissue of their old Eurofighter kit

Totally new mold, nothing to do with the old kit.
