Don't know I've ever seen a K...

By the time the K came along the Allies weren't that interested in flying captured stuff. The end was nigh for the Luftwaffe. I'm sure somebody will come along with 200 walk around photos and a full pilot report from the UK or Wright Field though.

I'll check my Captured Me-109 book when I get home for a "K"

Look, when a vastly superior alien culture comes all this way to take over your world, certain basic laws of planetary conquest apply. For example, when someone points a Quad Vectored Hypo Thermic Cosmo Blaster at you, it's a fair bet you are about to become toast. And in your case, a whole loaf of toast!

I found a few pics of "captured" K's

But all were "parted out" and more than likely none were rebuilt after the war.

Apparently none were saved - all the late war Bf 109s are

G-10s, none from the Erla factory. I suppose some where in a bog or long forgotten Russian barn, there sits a Bf 109 K-4, just waiting to be found.....

Not a K-4 but externally similar Link added, sorry :)

Here's a link to a Bf109G-14/AS flown by the RAF. Except for a few hatches It's externally similar to the K-4

Only one K that I know of

March 22 2012, 8:34 PM

It was coded T2-123 and was one of three 109's coded -122, -123 and -124. I have a photo of it in some sort of post war camo and obviously incorrect german markings. Apparently loaned to a university and fate unknown.

I hope that helps,

Chris
