I have the Cyber Hobby 72nd scale Meteor F.3, but wish to make an Argentine aircraft, which were F.4's. I'm wondering f there is any major outer differences besides the clipped wings. This is going to be a quick-build, to be looked at from a few feet away, not a contest winner, so I'm just interested in obvious stuff. Thankyou, thankyou.

You really can't convert an F.3 to an F.4, at least not easily.

Now that you have, can clearly see a differecnce in profiles. I guess my Angentine Air Force will have to settle for an F.3.

Meteor F4 in 1/72

While converting the Meteor F3 into a F4 would be challenging, there is a F4 kit currently available. MPM/Special Hobby did the F4 a couple of years ago, and recently Revell reissued the kit in their own (Revell) box.

Thanks for the info

My Latin collection seems to be filling up with improper variants, using home-made decals anyway, so this (using an F.3 rather than .4) will fit right in to that motiff. I sometimes re-make and refurbish stuff that bothers me long enough, so it will still have hope of becoming a more accurate bird in the distant future.
