The whole concept of flying cars is flawed!

Flying cars are a total compromise - not a good car and not a good aeroplane. The cost of these "hybrids" is usually so high, that anyone with that kind of money just buys a decent aeroplane and a decent car.

There will never be millions of flying cars cruising around the planet - it's a flawed concept.

The problem is...

...they are heavier than air.
Therefore they must exert a downward force.
But they have nothing to push against except air.
Air is a gas.
Getting a force against it, requires significant expense of power.
Power is costly and will become more so.
