Hi folks - anyone have any decent reference photos of B-57gs lying around? Seems to be precious little on the interweb, and i'd like to at least have half a stab at making the airfix one good. i'm particualrly interested in pics of wing guns, cockpit and bomb bay.
I'm also after any spare Zotz decals that there might be languishing in anyone's 'office'. For suitable remuneration, natch.

Cheers,

Bill

Slim Pickin's

Here's a couple of images gleaned over the years. The lower drawing is the rear panel, but not labeled.

IIRC, the B-57G had the wing guns removed due to center of gravity considerations after the chin sensor fairing and sensors were installed. Wing mounted laser guided bombs didn't help CG considerations, either.

For bomb bay pictures, see page 87 and other shots in Osprey's "B-57 Canberra Units of the Vietnam War." It has some, but they aren't great. I'd imagine the chances of LGBs on the wings AND bomb bay weapons were slim.

You can check out Bondo's B-57 G kitbash (Collect-Aire/Classic Airframes) in the HS archives. There you will see the G instrument panels/cockpit as fashioned by employees of Bondo Industries Difficult Kit Division.
