Hi Guys,

I'm building F1+MT from Hasegawa and I hope someone can help me about the plane's direction finder configuration.

The museum example doesn't have the star-like rotating direction finder and I was wondering what could be the likelihood of F1+MT not having it either?

I see it that there were 2-3 different locations for the loop antenna, but what about the other one?

Thanks in advance for the inputs!

Regards,

Peter from Hungary

I have 5 books about the Ar 234

Looking through all of my reference books on the Ar 234, none of the photos that show the top of the aircraft show the directional antenna you are asking about. All of the various kits, Hasegawa, Revell Lindberg, MDC Radu Brinzan, 1/72, 1/48, and 1/32 show this antenna. There was one drawing that suggested that there was one of these antennas. Besides the model kits and this drawing, I can not find any photographic or real evidence that the Ar 234 ever had the direction finder antenna.

So my suggestion is that you use the antenna but just paint over it as if it were never there, at least you can fill in the hole with the part.

I hope this helps
