You got that right...

If Trumpeter or Tamiya were doing this kit, it would start at $175 or more..

Cheers,
Dave

In the US...

July 2 2012, 11:00 PM

MSRP will be $65.00. I'm sure if it gets reboxed as a RevellUS/ProModeler kit later on it'll be even less.

Checked Tower and HobbyLinc here in the US and they ....

July 3 2012, 12:24 AM

both show a $53 street price, w/o post, w/ Tower saying a Dec (!) arrival. Might be able to get it before that, and perhaps cheaper, on eBay.

Lotta model, 23" w/s, for 50 bucks. Thanks much RoG!

Device on the canopy

July 3 2012, 5:48 PM

I know this FuG 350 installation since 2006 the first photograph was published (He 219, s/n 310106). Fortunately Revell accepted to include the FuG 218 / 350 option in this kit.

Not a worry for me in the least. We'll all fig it out I'm sure, and enter the AM for those who can't.

Noseweight

July 3 2012, 5:34 PM

Hi Tom,
no, I did NOT glue the nosewheel to the ground. I wanted to be on the safe side, and put around 35g into the cockpit-sides, and additional 2x40g into the engine nacells.

Cheers,
T-Stoff

That's what I'm talkin' about: damn near flawless engineering...

July 3 2012, 4:48 AM

at a great price achieved, in large part, by not including a bunch of stuff I, and most others, will never use because all those extra bits are not visible on or in the completed model. What's the difference in price between the ZM 219 and the RoG 219...? What would Trumpy charge for a 32nd scale 219...?

Maximum kudos, and many thanks RoG, Steve

Which other serious 219 do you know in 32nd scale?
(This bird will have two radar options but even two different engine gearbox-longitudes)
