Well....were there any? I'd love to make a few planes that were individually named after my girls.

Thanks All!

Hans-Joachim Birkner's Bf 109G-6 of the 9./JG 52

His aircraft carried the 9. Staffel emblem (the "Karaya heart") on the cockpit side, as well as "Charlotte".

two Graces

Check out a B-17 named Coup-de-Grace. Also Pan Am's South American subsidiary was PANAGRA for Pan American Grace Airways. Adios, Larry.

Field Artillery brings dignity to what otherwise might be merely a vulgar brawl.

Some Mustangs with 'Grace' in the name...

July 16 2012, 9:01 PM

I found this in a search for 'Grace' at the Littlefriends site:

http://www.littlefriends.co.uk/search.php?searchString=Grace&Submit=Search

A search there for Charlotte and Meghan turned up nothing of use.

Kyle, just to be a little different

The Aichi B7A Ryusei, code named "Grace." You could build one and put the name Grace on the nose. happy.gif

Great idea! Here's some options for you...

July 17 2012, 8:01 AM

B-17F 42-29762 "Coup De Grace", 351st BG/510th BS

B-17G 43-39001 "Coup De Grace II", 351st BG/510th BS

There was a Lady Grace in the 379th BG, but no serial info given for it.

8th AF fighters with "Grace" in the name:

Serial No Type Squad Code Pilot Rank / Given Names Markings Comments MACR
44-15529 P-51D 350 LH-G Grainger Lt. Lester M Lady Grace 3rd
44-14969 P-51D 350 LH-G Grainger Lt. Lester M Lady Grace II Named for his wife Grace. Lost 25 Nov 44 - Lt. William L Miller POW 10469
42-22524 P-47D 360 PI- Grace Lost 29 Aug 44 - Lt. Thomas D Teel KIA 8316
43-28270 P-38J 77 LC- Coon Capt. William K Grace Marie Named for his sister. Lost in this a/c 22 May 44 - POW 4974

"Charlotte" planes:

B-17G 44-85718 was named "Charlotte", no unit given; there was a "Charlotte Ann" with the 385th BG, no squadron or serial given. Or, here's a perfect one...

B-17F 42-30500 "Miss Charlotte", 2nd BG/20th BS (served in the Med)

Nothing on Meghan for WWII aircraft, I'm afraid... that's more of a postwar name.

Cheers,

Lynn
