Could be a while....

..the rough texture on the detailed inners would indicate that's a sculpt of the parts, or as suggested, a 3D printing, rather than a test shot...

Still, it does look...complex and interesting. One for the list, mayhap?

ZM Ho 229, Do 335

November 11 2013, 11:45 AM

A ZM representative told me at the booth in Telford that the Ho 229 should be released "in the course" of the coming year but it could be that it takes a bit longer.
There were also (some) real parts on the sprues, e.g. the center leading edge including the engine inlets in one part executed in slide molding technique. A masterpiece in design, transformation into steel and injection. Maybe someone has a photo.

I was told that the Do 335 should follow the 229, no estimated date of release was mentioned.

Ho 229

Spoke with them, they went to US and measure the real think but they are also using Arthur Bentley's plans so we know that they have the best possible documentation.
The 3D model looked very cool and promising but also the first untested test shots also looked very nice. Do 335 is the next release (i didn't ask when).
Also i saw the guys of ZM sitting and discussing with Mr Bentley, while he was holding a folder of his Drawings opened at the Me 262 Page!!! One of the next releases?? Possible yes.
