Color of P-40 inner wheel

What color would the inner wheel area be on the P-40? I'm just about ready to paint them.

It was lined on fabric and would be a greenish khaki drab

I'm guessing it might be rust colored with the brakes, but I wanted to double check.

which is the color of the casting material and IIRC from working on them the P-40 wheels were cast aluminum. Unless the group or squadron they served in painted them in their individual colors.
