Hi all,

I have just posted my review of Eduard's all-new 1/48 scale SE.5a Wolseley Viper.

28 images of the kit's plastic and photo-etched parts, decals, marking schemes and box top are included.

Another gorgeous little kit - details here:

Enjoy!

Brett

It is absolutely WONDERFUL to see a postwar US option here... that's extremely awesome and I am deeply appreciative. Way to go, Vlad & Co. happy.gif

All but one ARE postwar.

The 25th is borderline--they flew a few sorties in the last days before the Armistice. But full marks for Hank Burden's plane. Not as many victories as his brother-in-law Billy Bishop, but a much higher proportion of them confirmable.

Wingnuts' is the Hisso version only

Roden did both the Wolseley Viper and Hisso versions in 1/48 and 1/32.

Looks like all the parts for both are on the Eduard sprues too.

Tiny Addendum to the Above

March 22 2017, 5:57 AM

Can't tell from the small decal guide but I think Duncan Grinnell-Milne's aircraft bears the name "Schweinhund". As it is a post war marking (1919), it should really be "Schweinhund III".
The previous aircraft bearing the name had both been destroyed by enemy action. He describes this in his book "Wind in the Wires" (a great read by the way for anyone wanting to know how it really was).

Schweinhunds

And they always give the postwar red plane, and not the wartime one--simply adding the tail serial to the decal sheet would give another makings option.
