I saw a Vector upgrade set for the Bf-109G6/14 on a HS post not too long ago. I would like to use this set on my Revell 48th G10 model. Anyone know if this is an accurate application of the resin set? Please respond to tac67 at prodigy dot net Thank you.

Can't find that especific upgrade, but...

... if it is cockpit, you can use it. Spinner and exhausts, also. Propeller, you should check. Wheels, I am afraid not (Revell G-10 uses the wider ones).

Question is: is it worth?

Consider the Revell depicts a Diana-built G-10/U4. Only. And that the asymmetrical cowl is not well depicted (the bulge on the left side -over the engine arm going around the compressor- is under nourished). Replace the moulded guns. Canopy, even windscreen, also begs for a replacement.

REgards,

Fernando

I doubt it would be useful for a G-10

I think this vector set is for the new Zvezda G-6 (which can also be used for some G-14s) If it like their other correction sets for Zvezdas other 109 kits it will have improved canopy, ailerons, individual exhaust stacks and some others but not enough to be worthwile for Improving a G-10. Most of these parts correct things that arent present or an issue on the revell/monogram kit.

If you can find an out of production "Cooper Details" Bf 109 set it was made to fit the revell/monogram G-10 and it has alot of goodies.

You can also look out for left over hasegawa or eduard leftover kit parts that are miles ahead of the R/M parts
