... judgment on the panel lines when you actually have the kit in hand? In regards to the releases of the past few years, they have all looked much better in the flesh than on photos.

Test shot build in the latest Airfix magazine

Although a pre prod build it had decals so its unlikely to change now. Looked very nice. The wings still have engraved panel lines and some rivets. Overall the panel lines look pretty much as any one else provides nowadays. The builder used aftermarket washes so they do stand out a bit in the photos but as other posters have commented this is not unusual in magazine builds. Suspect it will sell well.

My comment about the release date was that it was supposed to be in shops a couple months ago, according to what I read. And considering that I have enough left-over decals to make at least 80 1/48 P-51's, I think I'll be buying one or two. happy.gif
