... for a replacement, you could try a vac aftermarket for a F/A-18. There is one from Rob Taurus (for the Hobbyboss kit) and another in a Falcon set. Neither is ideal but better than nothing. Rocket science solution, in case you marred (as opposed to lacking) the one in the kit, would be going down the road of heat-making or vacuuming your own.
