Hey guys, I'm sure you guys can help.

My Uncle and I always exchange some sort of modelling related gift.

Our mutual budget is usually about $30 or so, which typically means some sort of useful tool.

FWIW, he's a WWI modeller.

Thanks in advance guys

Should it be aviation related ? If not ---

Give him a USS Massachusetts maybe.

A WW I tank.

A submarine.

A diorama of Trench Warfare ...

What does he build ?

What kind of tool would he need that he does NOT have ?

Merry Christmas, George

On Plane Talking, so I'll assume WW1 a/c? If so, I've ....

bought a couple each of all Pit Road's spools of rigging 'thread'. Uschi model products makes some very good rigging 'thread' too. Way better than the lumpy stuff sold by WNW and mkt'd/produced by a hobby shop in Florida.

If you're in the States, I get air mailed pkgs from HLJ to Calif in 4-6 days.

A back up might be a StarBucks/Mickey D 20 buck gift card w/ tenner taped to the back! Hahahahaha. I HATE gift cards. Soooooooo LAZY, w/ zero imagination/thinking involved. Hell, if you must, just send CASH. No time limit w/ cash!

You might want to consider a set of Pheon or Aviattic decals,

or some other details from their respective sites. Both are very high quality, and really add to the detail. Another thought would be HGW seat belts or GasPatch guns.

Good Luck!!

Some very good ideas.

And yes WWI aircraft.

And I couldn't agree more RE gift cards! Which is why I canvassed for ideas.
