Fiat G.50 question

Does this look like a primer on the front part of the flaps? I was going to go with grey primer. What do you guys think? That is if I decide to drop the flaps.

The quality of all the pictures is poor, but it may be the camou base color

Like the P-47, the inner edge of the flap was the final camou color. But it does appear that the flap may have been in the retracted position when mottle was applied. So, they may hav been painted before final assembly.

May be more “accurate” for one that’s not damaged or being serviced.

Fiat G.50 flaps

In the Stenman book "Suomen Ilmavoimen Historia" Vol. 8 on the G.50 a good percentage, about50-60%, of the photos where the flaps can be clearly seen on parked aircraft shows them in the down position. Positioning either way is up to you. I personally think the G.50 looks better with them down.
