10th Anniversary
The Queensland Model Hobbies Expo (QMHE) is being staged at the Brisbane Table
Tennis Association Stadium at 86 Green Terrace Windsor (at Downey Park on
Brisbane’s inner north) over the weekend of 27 and 28 August 2005.
The Queensland Model Hobbies Expo is celebrating its 10th Anniversary.
It is the largest scale model and hobby competition and expo held annually in Queensland,
and the 10th Anniversary Expo is set to be the biggest yet.
The Expo will feature static model displays of aircraft, boats, cars, figures, military,
motorcycles, trucks and science fiction themes by hobby and model clubs from all
parts of Queensland and New South Wales.
The QMHE also incorporates the Queensland Scale Modelling Championships for 2005.
The Expo will also feature a series of “how-to” workshops for both the experienced and the
novice modeller.
The Expo is open from 9.00am to 5.00pm on both days with admission of $4.00 for
adults, $1.00 for children under 12 or $8.00 for a family of four.
Light refreshments are available at the venue. Free off-street parking is available next to
the venue.
