CAF WWII Aviation Heritage Museum
For those living in the Los Angeles, Ventura, and Santa Barbara County areas, this event will be held Sunday, September 25, 2005 at Camarillo Airport. Buy, sell, or trade models next to a real A6M3 Zero. Buy from vendors, tour museum and restoration facilities, and buy lunch from Space Shuttle Café (a DC-3 fuselage on a chasis made up to look like Space Shuttle). Visit with and photograph our warbirds, including F6F, F8F, two Zeros, Spitfire MK XIVe, Yak-3, SNJ, C-46, and C-131. Tour restoration facilites and see PBJ-1J, SNJ, and Argus III (Fairchild F24) restorations in progress. Take part in raffle drawing for 30-minute, same day ride in an SNJ (tickets $5.00 each). Event open to public from 9 AM to 3 PM. Admission to event $5.00. Children under 7 free. Event address is, 455 Aviation Drive, Camarillo, CA 93010. Camarillo Outlet Mall for ladies. From L.A. area, 5/405 to 101 north. In Camarillo, exit Las Posas south (toward Pt Mugu) for 1 mile. Turn right to Pleasant Valley Rd, and right turn at second light onto Eubanks.
