Jhim's Daily Double (Sunday @ 2.03)

Definatley not highly confident today and taking a chance but hey its bookies money and both picks i take for a reason. The first is Roma Over 2.5, they have had a lot of over games this season and the trend in last few cup games this week has been over in most game across most cups, all sorts of teams could be fielded and plenty mistakes could be made so plenty goals could occur. The second pick is Metz which I ended up with after much hesitancy, and was tempted to choose Metz X instead @ 2.90, but I have been very impressed with Metz home form recently, especially 4-0 win over Caen who are no pushover, I think metz have slowly warmed up, but Toulouse are a strong side, but they have been a let down to me several times so I think on recent form of both sides I have to fall on the side of the home win for Metz. So........................ smaller stake bigger risk today, the price for Roma over 1.90 seems very generous to me.

METZ @ 1.88
Vicenza/Roma OVER @ 1.90

Double @ 3.57

never mind, as I said above my original bet was Metz to draw and Roma over 2.5 and look whats happened, never mind, it was a bit too much to ask with higher odds on a day of 3 games, will be back tomorrow with another.  So far 4 units played, 6.73 returned.

Well done to those who won on Roma and the metz draw today,

As yesterday

January 17 2003, 12:23 PM

not many games being played so my conifdence is low on winning today and my stake will match my confidence, so please don't play this if you'd rather wait.

I am playing two teams X2 as i think they have a reasonable chance and the odds are good

Sheffield Wednesday despite there lowly position have won 4 of their last 7 games, 3 at home and 1 away and one of those home games was knocking Liverpool out of the cup. Looking back over last few derbies in recent years there are many draws in this game especially when it is played at united, the X2 is at 1.87 with GB so worth a shot . Standard after a bad start to the season are now 7 games without defeat and have dragged themselves from the foot of the table to one position below Mouscron, why not keep the roller coaster going and put one over on Excelsior, or at least a draw

SHEFFIELD WEDS X2
STANDARD LIEGE X2

DOUBLE @ 2.87 (Gamebookers)

(Confidence 5/10)

GOOD LUCK

IPSWICH
RAITH ROVERS

2.48 @ Planet Pinnacle

please see my scottish picks in Peter string or on my scottish picks page for analysis and the thread on ipswich explains all on that bet. Preston have many missing players and although some books are offering odds up to 1.70, one of the most respected oddsetters Ladbrokes have priced Ipswich right down at 1.44. Planet Pinnacle are offering them at 1.59 still. I am much more confident on this dounle with more teams to choose from. Raith are bristling in top form just now and face an Airdrie side not so fresh as Raith from the cup with three missing players.

GOOD LUCK

Rather

January 19 2003, 4:07 AM

than just play the double I have already played for my weekend picks of Mallorca and Deportivo I will add another one just to make it more interesting.

LAZIO
ALAVES
@ 3.12 (Gamebookers)

Lazio have deafeted Udinese 8 straight games in a row now, Udinese seems to be a team that never bothers to trouble Lazio. And with odds 1.60 and over I cannot resist adding what should be a reasonably solid looking bet to a double. The second game is not as certain but Alaves are an upo and down team which I occasionally like to try and catch on the up, they are unbeaten in their last three homes and conceded only one goal in those. Osasuna have done quite well so far in the season but I think they are starting to hit a poorer spell and a form which is more usually associated with them. They did manage to beat Alaves last time they travelled there but Alaves have won 3 of the last four meetings and perhaps may exact some revenge for the last tie.  Alaves lie in 16th place one ahead of Osasuna and most of this league is so tight that only 9 points seperate them from Deportivo in 4th position, so all to play for , for the team with home advantage, great incentive to win at this time for all clubs between bottom 4 and top 4!!

This double in my opinion has a good enough chance and has good vbalue, my odds are tooken from gamebookers, I have no doubts you can get better prices than this.

45 mins to go

January 19 2003, 4:48 PM

Lazio 2-1 FT
Alaves 1-0 HT

Keep it going please, fingers crossed

Come on also Deportivo and Mallorca, only two goals in all games in spain just now???

Totally deflated

January 19 2003, 5:55 PM

Spanish football in general was awful today, hardly any goals, while I am waiting and hoping for Mallorca to score a late goal Osasuna go and spoil my day and was 3 minutes away from a big pay day, had a good size stake on that one, that really HURT

7 units played
9.21 returned

So the double of Deportivo and Mallorca also fails, at least Deportivo came back but Mallorca not beating Huelva, bollocks

OK Monday DOuble

January 20 2003, 3:09 PM

Not much football on today but I have decided there is no point in calling this daily if I do not make an attempt. Todays bet carrys high risk at low odds so please don't feel you have to attempt it just because the doubles are in profit, I am mainly using this string to make an experiment, will multiples namely doubles prove as profitable as doing singles if I select carefully. I am planning to start my own treble which may appear in my weekend bets, and following the discussions on value, once I have read everyones opinion on value and have some sort of clear guidline I am going to start a daily value bet string which will only be played on days where value rears its lovely head

Anyway back to todays double, it includes a bet from Isreal which I have only looked at with recent stats, I do know a little of Macabbi Haifa and have seen them play once before, but know nothing of their opponents, but looking at recent form I reckon the bet has a chance even though the reason I don't reccomend it is its only 1.30 odds on a 45 minute outcome.

MACCABI HAIFA 1(HT)
GIL VICENTE 1
@ 2.21

Maccabi Haifa are 6 wins and 1 losss from 7 home games, while Ashdod are 0-1-6 in all their away games, they have 3 away losses in a row with one goals scored and 8 conceded, having played 7 away games they have had a chance to play almost all teams in the league without win so I don't give them must chance playing second top ion the table. This season althogether in away games Ashdod has only scored once and conceded 13. The head 2 head shows sporadic big wins for Maccabi but also periodic bad results, so I am kind of counting the recent form shows this season as time for a banging home victory and a lead at half time, this is the bet for Maccabi to win the first 45 minutes, the odds on the home win are too low at 1.07.

Gil Vicentes home form should be strong enough to see of Nacional who are not doing so well away from home, 2-1-6 in all away games for Nacional and 0-1-2 in their last three wit 0-3 goal count. Gil Vicente are 5-2-2 at home with a healthy 16-9 goal ration and already have show their strength over Nacional by beating them 1-0 at their own ground this season.

So far

sorry Litti, what I mean is it is a high risk betting on one team to win in 45 minutes, and with the odds at only 1.30 for this it does not seem worth it, but I think they can do it and I don't see anything else on todays coupon that I fancy I need to start looking into other sports but never seem to have the time. I just love my football

Good Luck

Tuesday 21st

January 21 2003, 3:01 AM

Big price tonight, I am a little more confident on the away pick than the home, Notts County have had a lot of draws at home and Stockport have not had an away draw yet in 13. But I think Notts County is making a slight improvement , they have only 5 wins this season but 2 have been in the last six games, wheras Stockport are 5 losses and a draw in their last six. On Saturday the manager Carlton Palmer was filling in for one of his own defenders and took himself off after 30 minutes, they lost at home to Swindon 5-2, and from what I read Palmer has no choice bu to play again in this game. Notts county could see this as a valuable chance to get away from the relegation zone a little bit and pull themselves up possibly three places in the league with other teams not playing. Notts County have several suspended and injured players coming back while Stockport have a couple of important absentees in Andy Thomas and Rob Clare. I think Stockport may yet be a little shell shocked from that and Notts County who look capable of improving can seize a chance. The first meeting this year was a 0-0 draw at Stockport.

The second team in the double I had talked o in another string also, Hartlepool the leaders in division three travel to Macclesfield who have several injury problems, Hartlepool have a fit squad and have Graeme Lee coming back into it, hartlepool as well I think are due for an improvement away from home as they have hit a mini slump with only one win in 3 aways, bbut they are 7-3-3 away from home all season. The last three meetings at macclesfield have seen two 1-0 victories for Hartlepool and a 3-3 draw. Macclesfield have only won 3 of their 12 home games this season. A good chance for the leaders. Would be interesting to hear from mark if a lot of people will turn up midweek for a potential loss at home?

So here we go

NOTTS COUNTY (1.90)
HARTLEPOOL (2.10)

Double @ 3.99 (Gamebookers)

Good Luck

Wednesday 22nd @ 2.31

January 22 2003, 3:42 AM

Well I will take what I can get today and I think I have found what I believe to be the safest double without sinking below the odds of evens.

LYON (1.65)
NEWCASTLE (1.40)
Double 2.31 (Gamebookers)

I am no great fan of french football, and I have been stung by Lyon at much lower odds at home this season but this one is better I beleive for a couple of reasons. Lyon now find themselves out of all European Cups and National cups and the league Title is the only silverware they can play for, and at very least they must now concentrate on achieving a euro place for next year. They are in good position (4th) to do this only 4 points behind the leader. Lyon have Brechet rated as doubtful but Laville and Delmotte come back into the team. Sochaux have injusry problems with as many as five possible players missing, Oruma is rated doubtful and Pedretti, Flachez, Daf and Chedli are out injured. Sochaux have a pretty appaling away record of 1-4-5, in their last three they are 0-1-2 with only one goal scored and 4 conceded, they have only scored 5 goals away from home this season. Lyon at home are 7-2-1 which is very strong, and have scored 25 to 11 conceded in 10 home games. The recent head to head shows 6 wins in 9 for Lyon and 3 wins and a draw in last four home games against Sochaux. The ambition of Lyon only to concentrate on the title now in the second half of the season will be enough I think and the fact there is pretty much a fully fit squad against Sochaux with several injuries.

NEWCASTLE can take advantage of other teams not playing midweek and can move within 7 points of Arsenal shoudl they win tomorrow night. It is a special night for Shearer if he plays celebrating his 25th appearnace for the toon and his 45oth career league appearance. The two played out a 7 goal thriller a little while back when bolton won 4-3 at home but the head to head before that shows 6 straight wins from six for Newcastlem, and I thinkBolton will be on the end of a hiding this time round, Newcastle have serious title ambitions at this stage in the league. The toon will still miss Obrien and Griffin in defence but could recall Titus bramble, they will mis Acuna who flies home to Chile but all others are present with an impressive line up to choose from, spoiled for choice up front : Given, Harper, Bernard, Elliott, Hughes, S. Caldwell, Dabizas, Bramble, Dyer, Solano, Robert, Jenas, Kerr, Shearer, Bellamy, Cort, Ameobi, LuaLua

Bolton will miss four players including Okocha, Whitlow, Jeff Smith and Paul Warhurst.

I know maybe I am breaking some of my own rules on big names with low odds but I like the similarities in these two teams, two teams with strong champion ambitions facing very poor away sides with a catalogue of injuries.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL

No double for thursday

January 23 2003, 1:53 AM

definatley a day for taking a break, I fancy Real Madrid, and if I was going to make a double it would have to be either with Juventus X2 which would combine for 2.01 or the away pick on Juve which would be much higher. But it is too risky to waste money on these cup games, especially as I do not know as much about them, and only other games I can bet on are Greek and I also think those are not worth it, Aigaleo is 4-0 up already, they don't need to try and other side may already have given up. I think I will return on Friday with a new double.

Thanks for the kind words, hope for more winners to come.

I have read it, but I am not convinced to bet on that game, I feel Juventus can win it if they want to but I am not confident to bet on them, and I am even less confident to bet on Perugia. It may be Saturday before I make a double again as there is a lack of games on Friday night and I don't see the point in betting on such slim days. Better hold and fight on a better day

Apologies

January 24 2003, 4:04 AM

I don't really have time right now to explain my picks but hopefully during the day tomorrow I may get time at intervals to put up my thoughts. The double is pretty risky, Pacers are in great form and the long awaited form of Jermaine O'Neal is starting to pay dividends. Pacers took Sonics to overtmine in Seattle earlier this season, I think it will be a different story at Conseco tomorrow night, Pacers usually like Friday games. Koln is a bit of a cold pick, german football has had quite a break, if theyhad not I would say Koln would dismiss Karlsruher quite quickly. I a sure both teams have been back training hard over the last couple of weeks and Koln shoudl win this game easy and get the run in to promotion off to a good start. So the double I am taking is....

FC KOLN
INDIANA PACERS (NBA) -7.5

I am no

January 24 2003, 8:06 PM

expert on NBA, but I do live in indianapolis and watch Pacers when they are on TV each night, I think they are due a solid win, there have been some very close things lately. Seattle over all their january games have been pretty poor and several times have lost by more than this handicap. Jermaine Oneal has been draughted to the NDA all star eastern conference team and will be full of confidence tonight. Pacers seem to like friday nights and think they can easy cover this handicap in the right mood. I was tempted to go Over 189 points looking at results from rpevious fridays for Pacers but tooo risky. My fingers are crossed can't wait to see the game later Pacers are the strongest home side in the USA and now 30-12 overall looking much more solid than last year.

January 25 2003, 2:23 AM

But the final score does not tell the whole story, this bet was won in the last quarter, I cursed the pacers the whole way through the game for taking leads and throwing the game away, Seattle never looked good at any time which mak-s the Pacers performance even worse. But what the hey 80-93 the bet is a WINNER again

Saturday Cup Double

January 25 2003, 3:27 AM

COVENTRY
CLYDE FC
Double @ 2.79

Coventry will miss again Joachim and Safri, but may be able to recall Youseff Chippo to the side, there are no notable missing players for rochdale, but here we have the 4th best away side in Division one against one of the poorest current sides at home in Division 3. The Cup can spring some surprised but with it being a one legged affair at this stage I cannot see Coventry even coming close to making an exit. Impossible to assess form this is just my best feeling of a win in the english cup at half decent odds.

Clyde have been very strong in division one this year and still find themselves 3rd in the table. Gretna are not ready for this kind of opposition yet, people thought they would be stepping down in class coming from english non league but they have found it very difficult to make and forward strides in division three, Clyde are one of the more solid sides in lower division scottish football this year and should be able to take this game easily. Clyde will miss only one payer through suspension in Simon Mensing. Hopefully Paul Kane will be able to start after taking part in a reserve match this week, he is a great boost if he does. For me Clyde have been a revelation, beating St Johnstone last week as the Saints were coming back to form was no mean feat, I cannot believe Gretan can get anything with their inexperience in Scottish Football. Mark McLaughlin may also be fit to return for Clyde, Gretna are near a full squad.

Sunday Double @ 2.25

January 26 2003, 1:53 PM

VALENCIA
BOLOGNA
Double @ 2.25

Valencia has now 11 points to make up between themselves and leaders Sociedad, with some disappointing results lately they must take advantage of the home tie tonight and bring all three points home. Bologna have won 7 of their 8 home matches this season, a home record bettered only by Milan who have 8 from 9. Torino have no away wins this season and have only managed to draw 2 and lose 6 of their 8 away games. Another point is scoring records in first game of Valencia and Sevilla, Valencia has managed to score 18 and only conceded 6 in their 9 home games, Sevilla has only managed 6 goals in 9 away games and conceded 8. Short odds on this double but a very good chance of coming in.

Monday Double @ 2.64

January 26 2003, 10:59 PM

FREIBURG
MACCABI TEL AVIV
Double @ 2.64 (Gamebookers)

Its the first game back this year for Freiburg and already they have an opportunity to jump to second place after Frankfurt have dropped 2 points by drawing this weekend. Freiburg can go above Frankfurt by 2 points if they can beat Aachen and they have shown they can do that already by winning in Aachen 1-0 earlier this season. For those interested Freiburg have scored 64% ot their goals at home and Aachen have scored 55% of theirs away, so their is a great chance for OVER 2.5 goals as well. But I will go for the win as they have motivation to take second spot in the table against a team they beat already.

Also I will go for an Isreal team tomorrow despite knowing nothing about the league. Its either that or Napoli who I wouldn't trust with anyones money. Maccabi Tel Aviv are in 4th place in the league and have won all three of their last away games including defeating Maccabi Haifa in 2nd place and Maccabi PT in 5th place. The head 2 head is a little disturbing as Tel Aviv have not won may times at Hapoel Tikva but also the form now is very good and also they beat Tikva 5-1 earlier this season and they have never beaten them by such a big score before which could show a larger gulf between these teams this season. Tikva are second bottom. This pick is taken based on what I can see in stats and performance only. Tikva are 0-3-5 at home no wins, and Tel Aviv are 5-0-3 away from home. 3-0-0 in last three away with 7-2 in goals.

I could sell my bet at gamebookers

Thanks for your info though, it is a risky double and I know bugger all about Maccabi Tel Aviv or Israeli football, just can't see anything else I want to bet on.

The earlier 5-1 defeat of Hapoel TK and recent away form is encouraging.

La Francaise Double

January 28 2003, 3:38 AM

well as much as French football empties my pocket at time I cannot resist this double. I will take Marseille along with Metmarko who recommneds this pick on his site today, I have done some research and it looks good, the main points he touched on is in all the games played in Marseille at their own ground they are unbeaten, the only time beaten in a home fixture was at a neutral ground. They are in third place behind Nice and can jump to First if the win and Lyon lose so good Motivation for this home tie against Nice. So if Marseiile stuff the double its Metmarko's fault ha ha, no just kidding

The second part fittingly comes from the second division and I take Metz to beat Istres, after an unfortunate 2-0 defeat last week, Metz retrun home where they are undewfeated this season with 7 wins 3 draws and no defeats, Istres by comparison have only one away win in 10 games with 3 draws and 6 defeats. Incredibly Metz have only conceded 2 home goals this season and have not conceded any in their last three home games, this shows a tremendous defensive strength. Istres have only scored 6 away goals in 10 and conceded 21, this has to be a home win!! I have no doubt either both games will be under in goals.

The alternative name for this double is also the M&M double

MARSEILLE

France and Portugal

January 29 2003, 2:40 AM

Today I am going for

ACADEMICA
ST.ETIENNE
Double @ 2.74 Gamebookers

Academica had a good win at the weekend and have managed to pull a small bout of form together, being a smaller club just gaining entry to the top league this Cup shoudl be more important for them than other teams in the top League. Chaves have a pretty poor away record in the 1st Division with only 1 away win this season, 5 draws and 3 losses they have only scored 7 goals away from home. I cannot compare Academica record this season as they are playing against much tougher opposition each week. Result from last season in Division One at Academica....

Coimbra         - Chaves           3 - 1

Academica finished 2 places above them last season so there is not a huge gulf, and Chaves won the return game 7-0 at home so there is risk, but Academica should be able to handle this.

St Etienne despite being undefeated at home this season are still in very close proximity to the relegation places, bad signs for a former First Division side, they have only had 4 home wins though and 5 draws in 9 matches at Geoffry Guichard Stadium, they need to start getting more figures in the W column and pull away from that zone, what better chance than against a team with only one away victory, 3 draws and 5 losses in 9, they have only managed to score 5 goals on the road. St Ettiene have a pretty good home scoring record with 12 for and only 4 conceded, they kept a clean sheet against second bottom Gueugnon earlier this season when they beat them 2-0 on their own ground. Very good chance for this one if anyone fancies it, available as a single at around 1.80.

GOOD LUCK

the likelihood of a french second division team scoring three times in one half is as likely as Bruce Grobelaar managing the St Kitts and Nevis national team to the World Cup final. St Etienne have only done it twice this year against Istres and Clermont. Jus can't see them winning second half 3-0. Have to find a winner tomorrow for sure ad Friday to build up the funds for the weekend.

Friday Double

January 31 2003, 3:40 AM

DORDRECHT
CARDIFF
Double @ 3.42 (Gamebookers)

English Second Division - Big tie in the english second division, Oldham will miss their first goalkeeper David Miskelley who starts a thre match ban and central defender Julien Baudet who starts a 5 match ban. Cardiff will be keen to make up for the loss to Huddersfield last week which they received much criticism for, Cardiff have a cast iron chance for moving to third place at least here, and with Oldham missing regular keeper and central defender ut may be very bad for them considering Oldham have scored 26 goals at home and only conceded 9 in all 14 of those.

Dutch Second Division - Dordrecht and Mastricht are two teams near the bottom but if you look on last 6 games Dordrecht are the improving side, and they have never lost to Maastricht on H2H,  Dordrecht drew 1-1 away to Maastricht earlier this season and in last four encounters before this Dordrecht won 3 and drew one. Dordrecht in their last 6 games are 4-2-0 undefeated and Maastricht are 2-0-4. Good Chance for the form team to climb away from relegation zone.

I think it will win too, but I am going 'under' . You were always right whenever I tried to dispute your pick, hope this time you are right too, but do not think it will be as high as with Lyon, Auxere finds it hard to score !

Auxerre :

Strasbourg 0-0
Troyes 1-0
Guingamp · 2-0
Montpellier · 0-0
Marseille 0-0
Bastia · 0-2

Sochaux

Marseille · 0-1
Bastia 2-0

Monaco 0-0
Lyon · 1-4
Rennes 1-0

February 1 2003, 11:52 PM

Man City I would have called the banker in Saturday double, sometimes I cannot explain why teams can win so well midweek against a decent side then throw away a game at home to a struggling team? Very dissappointing and Auxerre which I was more concerned about won 2-0?? Sometimes I hate football

Ah well chin up, I am even more confident for Sunday, putting my faith in talent of bigger proportions

Daily Double (Sunday)
It is only for reasons of good fortune that the gap between Valencia and Sociedad has remained 8 points for several weeks now. Valencia have to take their destiny into their own hands while they still have a rest from Euro football and take points while Madrid and Sociedad are having some draws between their wins. Inter Milan should be able to overcome Torino, their will be a bit of one upmanship up front perhaps, Batistuta will be looking for his first Inter league goal if he plays and Vieri has scored 4 in his last two appearances, Sitting level with local Rivals Milan on 39 pts at the top, Inter are spoiled for talent these days. I think it will be a case of Torino too busy in their own half to think about scoring a goal?

Valencia
Inter Milan

Not going to explain Man U, I know the odds are low but on current form see them as the best team in england, scoring well and only Barthez missing imho is a bonus for them, don't like him or trust him. Dunfermline have a good chance to make good their 1-1 draw at livingston in the first encounter in the cup. Livingston are falling apart at the seams, a 4-0 defeat to Killie at the weekend, they will miss David Xausa who is a bit of class up front and lee Makel in defence, also Oscar Rubio and Barry Wilson are only recovering from flu and even if they feature will not be 100%, likewise Stuart Lovell may be recalled but not 100% fit. These are some of the best players in the backbone of the squad and they are not ready for a cup tie after such a bad defeat at the weekend. Good Value at Interwetten too, I can only get 2.50 at Interwetten.

Good Luck

I am taking single 1.80 on Dordrecht, remember abovethis was my double with Cardiff last week and match was postpned, was trying to find this game last night but many bookies didn't put Dordrecht up until this morning, I was going to couple them with Man Utd instead but wasn't sure if Gamebookers were going to show it or not. Anyway I will bet on them still using analysis forther above in this string and will place a small treble with todays double selections.

the reason 50 points was on the Valencia double is because I forgot to chop that off, I used that bet as one of my main site picks on page http://www.footballfixedodds.com/jhimpicks.html these are the picks that go into my newsletter and are proofed at football-data.co.uk , and I put points value on those picks ranging from 0-200 points.

The actual bets I am placing are around 5% of my bank is the stake, I don't discuss currency amounts, see no point in it. I could tell you $50 or $5000 but I could be lying Percentage of bank is more important.

These doubles have started as an experiment to me to see if combining strng single selections together can produce more profit than playing singles, most people agree playing singles is best way in the long run,I am not trying to disprove that, just trying to see if I can make profit regularly, and may try a weekend treble each weekend now as well.

Cup Double

February 5 2003, 12:07 AM

I know cups are risky but I have a feeling these two ties may be more straightforward than they appear. For Deportivo, Mallorca is the toughest opponents left for them in the Spanish Cup, maybe they would rather face them in the final but they know if they pass Mallorca they only need play Huelva or Osasuna, and in a big game final you would expect Depor to come out on top. It will be a tough task for Depor to beat Mallorca, who will look for a piece of silverware here as unlikely they will feature in any title race. But Deportivo having got this far also would like to win, and to get past Mallorca, winning the home tie is a necessity, I am not saying for sure Depor will be in the final, but I am confident of them winning at least this leg.

Also Leverkusen are not doing very well this season in Germany, lying 14th place in Bundesliga, this cup woud be good confidence if they can get further, they can rid thewir heads of league worries and try and enjoy football more in this game. Unterhaching has done well but has only just got through each round, went to penalties in round one and won round two and three by only one goal. Leverkusen in comparison entered 2nd round and won straight away 3-0 over Stuttgart who have been quite good this season. Leverkusen also without a win in the Champions League group, need ti use a game like this to boost morale with important games coming up. Also with a team in problems, some players who might not normally play may step forward with 100% performance to catch the managers eye with view to securing a place in the league games. I think Unterhaching has reached their end point in this competition, as good a cup side as they are.

Its risky but I think this double will win.

couldn't poist my double today, couldn't get into the forum, but those getting my newsletter would have got it, wasn't worth much anyway, was Reutlingen and Genk and with the first being postponed it ended up a single at onl;y 1.55, a winner but I won't count it in this as not many people would have seen it.

Will post a winner for Saturday and Sunday

Glad that...

the funny thing works again. Saw just on Belgian part 1 of my favourite films "Das Boot" (again). After being under water for weeks the guys were glad to smell some fresh air again. The feeling is mutual here, after 3 days the forum is back up again. Good!!!!!!!!!!!!

To Jhim: what do i do to get this newsletter??

No Double

February 8 2003, 2:49 PM

today I have had no real time to ponder it but will have a look for tomorrow, Sharan it is Network54 who have been changing their servers that is why the site was down as they were disatisfied with the downtime on previous ones, it comes unfortunatley on top of some other downtime but this they are trying to fixm thats why they moved, hopefully now we have better results.

Belgophil, send me your address and I willa dd you to the mailing list. we are in process of finding a better mailing list as bravent is poor and a lot of mail systems put stuff from bravent to bulk or spam so it is not ideal, but I will add you in the meantime if you give me your address

Lower odds but cannot resist

February 9 2003, 2:15 AM

Two grand old champions who are just now reaching the top of their form, not much explanation needed, getting over evens at gamebookers for Bayern and Man Utd, the english Reds have a score to settle after losing 3-1 at Maine Road earlier this season and Van Nistelrooy is on fire just now. The German reds in the last 7 games at home to Hamburg are 6-1-0, shoudl be no contest in both matches for me.

MAN UTD
BAYERN
Double @ 2.03
