Understand the expression now, but in the sentence "to claim prizes competitors must hold bona fide accounts with Bet Internet" I don't quite understand the meaning??

is latin for "in good faith", but i encountered this only in my law studies so not sure if it will help.

I guess this is the most appropiate meaning as it fits pretty well in the phrase above.

Also, for info:
bona fide (latin) = good faith (english) = boa fé (portuguese)
