The wolves of Wolverhampton looks like money in the bank against Rochdale today.
Wolverhampton coming from an embarrasing 1-4 loss at Brighton, looks more than ever motivated to show what they are made of against poor Rochdale of 3rd division. Wolves, without loss in 4 matches, looked frustrated as Brighton scored 4 times against the faltering stars. The loss however, could be a clear benefit for their cup-tie against Rochdale. Rochdale clearly don´t have the same starplayers as Wolverhampton and the stars of wolves are clear favourites when entering the field (just as against Brighton). This time, they are on home soil and preparred to show the homecrowd what they are made of.
"We are still smarting from Saturday because that was a major disappointment, especially in the manner it happened......it's a one-off in the sense we need to win, whereas in the league we can draw to continue gaining points " said assistant manager John Ward on a question about the preparation for the FA Cup match.
Wolverhampton will be facing Rochdale with their strongest team as Nathan Blake has put himself in the frame for FA Cup duty after scoring in the Birmingham cup this midweek. Rochdale will be seeing this match as their big chance to show the world what they are made of, as the match goes as the evening match on TV. A nervous start from the lowly 3rd division players could be crucial and they could be seeing themselves loose by more than just one goal here. Rochdale clearly don´t have the same starplayers as Wolverhampton .Rochdale clearly don´t have the same starplayers as PRESTON. i remember the day 4/1/2003 .
this is a cup , everything can happen.
but i remember before 5 days. Darligton-Rchdale.
Rochdale if wanted would not play this game because of international duty 3 players :Melaugh, McEvilly and another one (i forgot his name maybe McCort?), BUT SIMPSON , BECAUSE in this case Flitcfort the best player in this poor team, wouldnot play against Wolverhampton, prefered to play against Darlo (and won)
here , is finishing , the story ...
in 21 hours we will know the end....
good luck
