Re: Your Best Bet of the Weekend ?

February 20 2003, 11:28 AM

Today i am going for a nice double:
HERTHA(1.63)+PORTO(1.33)

1.)Hertha is the in great form and Boavista has still troubles in the national league. It will be a 1 to 3:0.

2.)Porto is simply the much stronger team.Denizli only had luck against stupid Lyon.

My stake will be quite high!

For the weekend i have two strong singles:
BREMEN(1.6)best bet

Although Cottbus managed some good resulst recently they will have no chance against a revengeful Werder side.

HERTHA(1.6)

I am confident here, because Bielfeld is too weak away from home. But it depend a little bit on the Uefacupmatch today.

See ya,

Cardiff v Plymouth
21/02/2003

Cardiff need this win to get back in touch with the leaders Wigan, Cardiff have lost a bit of form recently with a few draws.

        Last form shows: Cardiff    DWDLWL

                               Plymouth    LWLWWL

Plymouth are playing well and are situated 10th in the league where a win for Cardiff will take them into second position.

Cardiff are very strong at home only losing twice.
All points to a home win

Reading v Rotherham
22/02/2003

Reading are playing some excellent football this year with Jamie Forster banging the goals in. They are playing Rotherham who started very well at the start of the season but have failed to keep up with the pace.

Last form shows: Reading      WWWWLD

                          Rotherham   WWLWDL

Rotherham lie  6th in the league 4 points adrift of 5th place, Reading are in 3rd trying to make some ground on Leicester so a win will keep the pressure on the 2nd place team.

It will be a close match but I think reading will just edge this one.
Home Win

Re: Your Best Bet of the Weekend ?

I can see some insane odds on three games:

Genk v Charleroi, Away, 9.00!
Werder v Cottbus, Away, 6.00!
Lazio v Atalanta, Away, 7.50!
------
Now at 1:
Charleroi are totally different team after the break, they are 3-0-2 and won 5-0 to Mouscron last week, genk are disapointing this year and have the same record in last three. Never a niner on visitors, perhaps at about 4.00-5.00.
Cottbus are the best team in Bundesliga after winter break and are 3-1-0. Thay played some good football lately and I expect them to give Werder a hard afternoon. On the other side, Werder are still without a win (0-1-3), three defeats in a row, with a lot of missing players for this game (Klasnic, Daun, Micoud, Krstajic, Baumann, Friedrich- all first 16 choices). This is a posibility for a huge upset, at odds about 6!
And finally, Lazio, who only have 3 wins at home in 11 games entertain Atalanta, a team in form, they are without a loss for 8 rounds and never at 7.50!

Now, I know it is not to expect three away wins here, but for those, who can bet 02 on these and if they have reasonable odds, perhaps they could try a nice treble.

My chances would be:
Cottbus away at 33%
Atalanta away at 25%
Charleroi away at 20%
----
And I will take a fun treble here: all three aways, 1 unit, Odds: 405!!!, treble (200 tolars at our bookie!!)
----

my best bet of the weekend

February 22 2003, 8:46 AM

Forfar take on Stenhousemuir today in what will be a game which both teams want to pick up the points to climb away from mid to bottom of the table...Forfar have a good home record of 5-1-2 while Stenhousemuir have won only 1 game away from home this season and there away record reads 1-2-6.

Forfar have Iain Godde , Neal Ferrie and Alan Rattray srtuggling to shake off ankle injuries that they picked up throught the week.

Stenhousemuir have Des McKeown and Craig Martin out through injury and Stewart Easton is suspended for this game.

The fact that you can get odds of over 2.00 for a team with such a decent home record is enough to sway me to Forfar in this game and will make them my pick for this one.

Pick: Forfar Athletic @2.10 Bet 365.com

well....

February 22 2003, 9:29 AM

2 games, 1 double
Tenerife-Getafe home 1,85 eurobet
Tottenham H. – Fulham home 1.65 eurobet
Tenerife plays good 3 last games(3 wins AND goals 11-1)
While striker Marioni is very-very good.
The other game, not only home team is better than Fulham , But Fulham, played on last Wednesday, plays the next against Bernley on Wednesday ,And next Saturday against Sunderland. games more important than
this on Monday. I believe that visitor because of F.A cup game, will not risk…
(1.65*1.85=3.05)

My best bet is:

English First Division:
BRIGHTON vs. MILLWALL = home win with odds of 2.50 offered by Planet Pinnacle.

My ratings: 135 - 134

Brighton are fighting against relegation and worth to try with odds of 2.50. They're third from bottom, two points behind Grimsby. Millwall are quite safe and sound in the midtable (5 points to sixth place and 17 points to 22nd place).

Brighton are recalling goalie Dave Beasant but they're without striker Gary Hart and defender Robbie Pethick.
Millwall welcome Dennis Wise and Paul Ilfill back but defender Matt Lawrence, defender Mark Phillips, defender Stuart Nethercott and Andy Roberts are all out.

I go for Brighton.

Cheers
Hannu

Double for me

February 22 2003, 11:56 AM

some good asians in Belgium, but i decided after a long think for this double...

PSV Eindhoven-NAC 1
Westerlo-Lokeren 2 (on asian 0:0)

@ 2.25 with GameBookers

Reasons: PSV are outstanding in Holland, especially at home (goalaverage 30-3) and 30/30 points. NAC are quite good, but lost last 3 awaygames...

Westerlo-Lokeren (for info, see my Belgium Jupiler League Thread)...

malaga -CELTA 2

February 23 2003, 12:06 PM

ODDS 2.80 (GB)
Malaga's players might have their minds in athens for the second leg at uefa cup against AEK as they stand in a safe place in the middle of the table. They didn't play well on thursday and today they'll miss 3 key players.
Celta in good form, trying to catch a ticket for next year's CL.Allmost full squad and good h2hs.
@2.80 for Celta are great value IMO.

Should have been yesterdays double

February 23 2003, 2:00 PM

but I missed the strong so here is todays!

Inter Milan should be a formality at home and Centerbet are giving over the average for both them and Sociedad which I think is a solid home win today, as said before Sociedad cannot afford to start stringing together bad games or the dent of their morale may become a much longer lasting bump! Inter can field a B team and win against piacenza, its a good time to bank on Inter goals in the league especially after signing batistuta who will want to show off at a new club and exisiting strikers who will not want to score less than him. Fairly confident with this double!!!!

INTER MILAN
REAL SOCIEDAD
Double @ 2.27
(Centerbet)
