I will post more extensive information when I find time but I must alert you to the fact that Troyes, Sochaux and Bastia will face depleted opponents tomorrow. Bastia especially looks like a good bet since Nice will miss almost all their most important defenders. For a team that's famous for good defence this has to be a very serious handicap. On the other hand try to avoid Nantes and Bordeaux who also have serious abscences.
If you start with certainties you end up with doubts.
Bastia to beat Nice is the best bet of today. Nice misses its captain Cobos plus few more players and especially defender Paramot is important. Without those players their defence is bad and Bastia will beat them easyly.
MARSEILLE LOOK TO OPEN GAP AT TOP

Marseille coach Alain Perrin knows the opportunity is there for his side to make a break from the chasing pack this weekend as Ligue 1 resumes after last weekend was held over for cup matches.
Perrin has been lifted by the return from injury of two key midfielders, Pascal Johansen and Fernandao. That will help out Perrin, who has to do without the services of suspended duo Fabio Celestini and Sebastien Perez, while Brahim Hemdani is suffering with knee trouble.
Lille currently occupy 16th place and are just a point away from the relegation zone.
They will not be encouraged by the history books that show they have won only five of their 34 encounters with Marseille.
SOCHAUX SEEK REVENGE OVER LE HAVRE

Sochaux are looking to get some form of revenge on Saturday when they host Le Havre at the Stade Bonal, usually a difficult place to win for visiting teams.
Sochaux have several absentees with an ankle injury looking likely to rule out key midfielder Johann Lonfat. That injury is made even more significant because Kamal Tassali will also be unable to take his place in midfield for Sochaux, who are on the fringes of the race for a place in the Champions League.
Those losses should be offset by the return of Marcelo Trapasso and Nino Saveljic, the Serbo-Montenegran who recently took French nationality.
There are also problems in defence for the hosts who are still deprived of the services of experienced pair Laurent Charvet and Philippe Raschke, both of whom are expected to return next week.Up front, Mickael Pagis is suspended but Santos and Frau should prove an effective pairing.
Le Havre are five points clear of the relegation zone but will be anxious to get something out of Saturday's match against a Sochaux side chasing a place in European competition.
The Normans are forced to do without no fewer than four players who are suspended for Saturday's match.Algeria international midfielder Yazid Mansouri and Pierre Ducrocq miss out in midfield while Senegalese defender Souleymane Diawara and Pascal Chimbonda are also left sitting on their hands.
GUINGAMP GUNNING FOR CAPITAL STARS

Guingamp coach Bertrand Marchand hopes his team end a dismal slump when they host Paris St Germain here on Saturday.Marchand's task will not be helped by an extensive injury list with their inspirational skipper Coco Michel perhaps the key absentee.
Argentinian defender Nestor Fabbri is also unavailable while Alaeddine Yahia pays the penalty for his red card in a reserve match. All three are suspended. But there is better news for Marchand. Cedric Bardon and on-loan Wagneau Eloi are both fit to line up against the city slickers while the Ivory Coast's Blaise Kouassi will be paired with Milovan Sikimic in central defence.
Beleaguered PSG coach Luis Fernandez also has problems as he prepares for another match where victory will be the only acceptable result. He has no fewer than three strikers ruled out of contention with Brazilian Aloisio and Nigerian Bartholomew Ogbeche suspended and Argentinian Martin Cardetti ruled out with a back injury.
Brazilian Ronaldinho and Fabrice Fiorese are therefore set to lead the attack with the latter playing against his former employers. But Fernandez has other gaps to plug with key defender Frederic Dehu, Hugo Leal and Andre Luiz also unavailable.
MONTPELLIER TEST OF LENS CREDENTIALS

Lens are looking to boost their flagging campaign for a place in European competition as they cross swords with a Montpellier outfit that is finally beginning to show signs of life after a dismal campaign to date.
Their coach Joel Muller is expected to field a three-pronged attack against Montpellier with a front pairing of Daniel Moreira and John Utaka.Just behind in the 'hole' will be Antoine Sibierski, one of few players to have shown consistency this term for the northerners.
This is likely to be a tougher encounter than would be expected from a cursory glance at the table which shows Montpellier are second bottom of the division.
Montpellier coach Gerard Bernardet must do without Brazilian Paulo Sergio, who has gone for a trial with a Chinese club, while midfielders Cedric Barbosa and Valery Mezague are suspended. There is a further absence in midfield with Michael Llorente missing out through injury.
ANDERSON ABSENCE HITS LYON HARD

Lyon need to end their three-game goal drought and find a first win in five games if they want to revive their aspirations of successfully defending their title. They are still without Sonny Anderson, who is due to return to training next week with a view to a first-team return in March. In the absence of the prolific Brazilian the goals have run dry and Lyon have dropped from top spot to fifth place.
Rennes have been dropped into the relegation dogfight after reaping just two points from a string of fixtures against six teams from the top half, including leaders Marseille and second-placed Monaco.
The Brittany-based visitors will have to do without Czech Republic international goalkeeper Petr Cech, who still has not recovered from an ankle injury sustained in the Czechs' friendly victory over France in Paris last week, so Eric Durand will deputise.Toifilou Maoulida is suspended but Julien Escude returns after serving a ban in last weekend's cup win against Libourne.
NANTES LOOK FOR KICK START
Click here for more France news
Nantes hope to kick-start what has been a mediocre campaign to date when they host struggling Corsican outfit Ajaccio on Saturday at the Beaujoire.
Nantes boss Angel Marcos has a few selection problems with one definite absentee Nicolas Savinaud, who is serving a suspension. His Romanian striker Viorel Moldovan is also a doubt because of a thigh injury while Mathieu Berson is another unlikely to make the starting line-up.
Ajaccio know they must start gaining points away from home if they are to stay in the top flight and they are just one place above the relegation zone, although they are level on points with third bottom club Sedan.
Again injuries force coach Rolland Courbis to shuffle his pack.Argentinian forward Juan Esnaider is not available while defenders Walid Regragui and striker Dmitri Ananko are also absent.Courbis has an easy remedy up front in a front pairing of Bruno Rodriguez and Bernard Diomede, the 1998 World Cup winner who has joined the Corsican club on an extended loan from Liverpool.
However, there is better news for Courbis with the return of experienced campaigners Herve Alicarte and David Terrier, ensuring a solid-looking defence despite Regragui's absence. They will be joined at the back by experienced Christophe Destruhaut and Senegalese player Mamadou Seck.
HIGHFLYERS TARGET EUROPE

This match pits together two sides who may have harboured fears of relegation at the start of the season but who are now genuine contenders for a place in the Champions League.
Nice are five points behind leaders Marseille but only two points ahead of Bastia, who know victory at their Stade Furiani stronghold would boost their Champions League credentials.
Coach Gerard Gili has Lilian Laslandes and Chaouki Ben Saada back, but will be without suspended Mickael Essien, with Jocelyn Gourvennec or Nicolas Alnoudji both in contention to fill in.
Nice have slipped in recent games but skipper Jose Cobos was upbeat, saying: "This squad deserves to be rewarded.
However, coach Gernot Rohr will have to do without his influential captain who is suspended along with Everson, who this week was given a two-match suspension for a tackle on Guingamp's Alledine Yahia.Noe Pamarot and Thibaut Scotto are both out injured and there are doubts over Kaba Diawara, who pulled out of training on Thursday with a bad ankle, although he will fly with the squad to Corsica.
STRASBOURG TEST HOME COMFORTS

Troyes' impressive recent form, particularly at home, has seen them close the gap on the teams above them in the relegation fight as they bid to stage what would have looked an improbable escape just a few weeks ago.
Certainly the loan signings of Laurent Leroy and Selim Benachour from PSG have bolstered the side, but the recent run of form has coincided with the return to action of inspirational captain Frederic Danjou following injury. His presence and influence on the pitch has motivated the side he says "has lost the habit of playing for safety" after a meteoric rise to the first division and European football.
Dobar dan Voja. Thank God you saved me from a lot of trouble.
Sedan - Bordeaux: Both teams have serious abscences in defence which makes this game too unpredictable. Of course an away win is not out of the cards but personnaly I would stay away since Bordeaux defenders Afanou and Jemmali are among the teams' most experienced defenders and their abscence will propably make Bordeaux defence even more fragile than it already is.
Blendi where did you see the bad info. When I take consideration of abscences, I don't substract number of abscences from each team to reach a comclusion. I judge the seriousness of each teams abscences and in this particular case I see the Bordeaulien defence very weakend. Are you stupid or somethin?
If you start with certainties you end up with doubts.
Glad to see someone who looks in the french footie in good depth , since french people do not care about betting but I will like to add a couple of things, Bordeaux will miss brazilian Costa and Afanou missed a couple of matches already , thing is Sedan are almost decimated with all those missing players..
Also Nantes-Ajaccio is a game where no one knows with certainty who is in and who is out, both teams with a number of players carrying injuries and no final line-ups according to my knowledge.
Nantes - Ajaccio : Nantes will miss Savinaud and Berson, 2 of their most experienced players in midfield.. Ajaccio will miss Ananko and Regragui who are both defenders but welcome back Alicarte and Terier (also defenders). Also Esnaider (Ajaccio) will not play. Ajaccio with everything to play for since they are dangerously close to relegation zone. Odds around 1.68 for Nantes are not satisfying.
Lens - Montpellier : Another game difficult to predict since the visitors are fighting to stay in the league. However, Montpellier has serious injuries.
If you start with certainties you end up with doubts.
Its true that Sedan has abscences but I have seen Bordeaux play many times this year and although they can be brilliant in attack , it's scary how they fall "asleep" in defence sometimes. Also Afannou is an integral part of their defence for some years now and was injured this week.
Troyes - Strasbourg : With a win today and if the events in other games are favourable, Troyes can find climb one spot at the table and find themselves 1 point away from a safe-from-relegation zone. Everybody in France thought Troyes was dead and burried but the fact is that a win today and good results against the other relegation candidates (they will play against them in the following weeks) can give them hope to stay in the league. They have no abscences for todays game. Strasbourg will be without 3 first teamers (2 midfielders and one defender).
If you start with certainties you end up with doubts.
as both sedan and bordeaux have big serious absences in defence, over 2.5 could be a good bet as usually bookies offers high odds on french league.
though i almost never bet on over/under bets i 'm thinking seriously to try my luck.( with a small stake of course).
About the result of the game i think visitors are a bit closer to win as they are in good form(only one bad game against nantes in last months)and they have good h2hs against sedan who seem to be rather craps this year.
have no infos about wether and pitch contition though.
mayby,a small stake on level ball for bordeaux, also.
GL
Well, thank you, but I still make stupid mistakes, like Haamenliina today, theyve won, but only AET!
It is for X-time lately that I ruin my trebles by ET losses!
Shit!
