Motivated by greed ? Follow me

Well my betting bank was a bit of a failure. I ended up breaking even but i felt to inhibited as to what i could and couldn't bet on. For that reason from now on I will write what bets I tip and these will mainly be singles. I may accumulate them into a double but no more than a treble. The staking is entirely up to the follower. But as a rule of thum if your bank is 100 units then i would stake 10 units or so on my stronger picks and down to 2 units for my greedy longshot picks.

Stupot - motivated by greed and

P.S. I will keep a track on how many singles, doubles and treble picks i have got right and give an average payout for the correct and incorrect tips

I have bided my time and feel tonight there are a few games to bet on. I believe Arsenals match tonight is must win, and at 2.34 at betfair that is a good bet.

Also I think Roma are a solid team and need three points from the mestalla which i believe they are fully capable of especially with the return of totti.
I will take them on handicap plus 1 at betfair at 1.98. This is a fantastic bet as it means if the match is a draw you still win. Your stake is returned for a one goal loss. A greater loss and your stake is lost. I think this is a solid bet.

Arsenal @ 2.34 Confidence 7/10
Roma +1 @ 1.98 Confidence 9/10

Sorry anonymous first error. Do not look at domestic form when considering european matches. United scrape draw at reebok and breeze to comfortable victory 3-0 at stade delle alpi. The champions league is a whole new ball game.

I think in the first group phase noone gave roma a chance in the bernabeau but totti steered his team to a one nil victory. I believe they can attempt the same again.

Re: Roma

On paper, both teams have 90% of their regular starters available for the game.

Valencia: Canizares; Reveillere, Ayala, Pellegrino, Carboni; Rufete, Albelda, Baraja, Kily Gonzalez; Aimar, Carew.

Roma: Pelizzoli; Panucci, Samuel, Zebina, Candela; Cafu, Tommasi, Emerson, Lima; Totti, Cassano.

It's been raining for the last day or two in Valencia, and chances of "light showers" during the tonight's match are quite high.

It's just as crucial for Valencia to win as for Roma, since they need 5 points from the last 3 games to qualify, and Italians look the weaker side compared to Ajax and especially Arsenal who Valencia will play in the last two fixtures. However, a draw will not eliminate the Spanish side - but definitely will leave Roma out of contention. Which leaves Valencia coach with greater selection of tactics for this game - he can either have his side sit back and counterattack, or keep possession putting endless passes together - which they also should be perfectly able to do with Aimar back in the midfield.

I suppose Roma will be that bit more motivated for the european competition - especially now that they are dead and done in Serie A. And I suppose that win at Real Madrid will be pointed at, but does everyone realize that the Santiago Bernabeu game was #5 out of 6 games in that round, when Real had 8 points (2 wins 2 draws) and have already qualified? It's #4 out of 6 in second group stage now, Valencia are nowhere near qualifying, and the only game they played at Mestallia only earned them one point. Will Valencia play for the three points so they can put pressure on Ajax and Arsenal? I think so. Are they in better position than Roma to get the victory? I'm confident of that - because of "form", "home field advantage", and having more options of playing this game - tactically.

Valencia win by 2+ goals (35%)
Valencia win by 1 goal (30%)
Draw (20%)
Roma win (10%)

My money is on Valencia (-1) @ 2.21 - Asian handicap bet so stake is returned if they win by exactly one goal. Bet was made 48 hours ago, right now I can't find any better than evens for that bet.

Thamkyou dimich for your information. I will stick with the bet as I believed when i placed it that it is a good bet and never do u-turns as when you do the bet comes in. I was aware that madrid didnt need to win that match and im well aware the italians -roma - have been less then exciting to watch away from home. I just believe that capello really needs to prove his roma team. I cannot see them being beaten by two goals. Anyway we will see.

Big respect

Not a bad start but likewise not a good start. My 9/10 pick flew in and my 7/10 pick was dismal as arsenal could muster nothing to prevent a drab 0-0 draw at ajax

Picks 1/2

Tonight I will take auxerre asian handicap and celtic asian handicap. For me auxerre are a solid french team and got a result at highbury and I feel it could be a 0-0 result tonight. Also celtic although not needing a result will not want to concede as it puts there qualification into danger.

Therefore i will take

Auxerre +0.5 at 1.92 betfair - 9/10 confidence
Celtic + 0.5 at 1.96 betfair - 5/10 confidence

Today i will take fulham at 1.91 at betfair and blackburn at 2.1.

Fulham will want to get back on tracks after disappointing fa cup exit and sunderland are woeful. The midtable clash of blackburn city will see the home side prevail as city away are sometimes nbot as motivated and organised as keegan would like.

Normal service resumed. Apologies for not stakign the confidence. Man city pick was 7/10 fulham was 9/10.

As it happens neither deserved to win apparently but at the end of the day what goes around comes around. I had an unfortunate midweek and the weekend has picked me back up. Which is nice.

Picks 3/6

Another nice touch today was to see juninho score on his comeback. Well done juninho.
