I just wonder if someone could help me. When I try to log in, there appears on the upper right part of the page that the page cannot be displayed. I know that it is my pc's fault, because I managed to login from another computer. Could anyone help me? What do I have to do with my settings? Thanks in advance
I found it Wrath. Under security, there is an option to disable the stored and the per session cookies, if that's what you are telling. Even if I disable them, I can not solve the problem though:(
the site keeps coming back to say that my session expired, even though I do fresh attempts to get to the site. When I did get through the once,I logged in - but the site just cleared the boxes and then told me my session had expired again. The site is definitely up the chute !
I cantacted them 3 times since yesterday. In the beginning they admitted they had a problem. But yesterday night they said they had no problem. They've checked it out. I don't think they have a problem, because I log in normal from another computer and placed my bets all right. They caused some problem to us. I asked them to give us a solution. As soon as I get an answer I'll let you know. I would suggest that you mail them too to put them under pressure!
i have this problem last time when i use dial up to access the internet. It has to do with ur access speed, espically just before kick off when there r many users. The problem is gone when i upgrade to cable modem.
1. dialup vs cable, it doesn't matter. If GB's server is slow it doesn't matter if your the president or not, it's the same for all users regardless of the modems you use. GB still has to send info from their server to you and you can only recieve as fast as they can send. If you want to find out where the problem relies, do the following:
a. open a dos window (start > run < write "cmd" and hit enter.
b. write "tracert www.gamebookers.com"
c. what happens next is that you get a list of servers that your request going through on it's way to gamebookers server on antigua. For instance I have to go through 22 hops (servers) to reach their servers and anyone of those can possibly fuck up.
Try that the next time surfing seemes to go slow and you'll discover where the problem is.
2. if you don't use a browser that accepts cookies, you'll have a problem with GB. All browsers have preset levels of security. Some have more strict rules at work or in another browser. If it works fine in netscape etc check out the settings you've got there.
3. the session bit is normally set by the server end, meaning GB. When they deciced to store a cookie they have to specify how long it should last (in seconds). So if they have fucked up this, you'll just have to wait.
Example of a codeline that sets a cookie to last a year:
I use internet explorer and have no problems with their site.
I'd also suggest hitting [CTRL]+[F5] when you are on their site ... it tells your Explorer browser to stop using stored files from your PC (like old cookies) and try to get fresh ones.
(This helps solve a lot of problems with individual PC's)
Good luck.

Thanks guys, but my problem is not solved yet! GB answered that there was a change and that probably it is a problem of the internet provider who has not updated his system. That's impossible, as I can join GB from another PC, using the same internet provider. I am really pissed off and I don't know what to do
I guess what they are saying is that your isp is feeding you and old version of their site, but if you can access it from another pc with the same isp I really don't know what the problem might be. I'm assuming that you've checked that the privacy settings are the same on both browsers on both machines and that you don't have a firewall interrupting. But that should give you a 404 anyway.
A shot in the (deep) dark: is the problem pc connected to some sort of network? Then you could have an old page using their proxy server.
(proxy server is a "local server" that cashes pages and serves them to you instead of letting you on to the real internet)
Well, the solution I found: I just downloaded Netscape and I can login again into my account! Obviously a problem with the internet explorer settings. If someone else found a better solution, please let me know. (I was in contact with GB service. Even if they suggested some things, nothing worked. They are still checking. I hope, at least)
Been away for a few days,so 'pooter was turned off.Come back, try to login with GB and they keep telling me that my session has expired. When I try again (and again-and again-and again) still says the same.
Tried mailing them and sent them my IP address, like they asked for - but no reply yet.And they have my money !!
