Sat Slections..

Zland,

I think your posts are absolutely fantastic and never really disagree with your selections but how can you fancy Fulham ?

Don't take this as criticism because it certainly insn't meant to be but Fulham are one of the poorest teams I have witnessed and they are playing a Sunderland side IMO have been very very unlucky of late and I was considering having a single on Sunderland because I think 5/1 represents some value especially when 2 cr@ppy teams are playing each other.

Bigslim.

Well

March 1 2003, 4:59 AM

I was surprised to find in my ratings that Fulham recent form is not as bad as seems, the games agaisnt burnley should be ignored, I have Fulham rated much higher than Sunderland, although betting on Fulham would worry me as they seem to sometime have problems with the cutting edge and finishing teams off. But not all results have been discouraging lately, they were undefeated at White Hart Lane and beat West Brom 3-0, before that they beat Villa 2-1 and only narrowly lost to Arsenal by a goal at Highbury. So looking at Sunderland awful form, the question might be why not bet on Fulham? Sunderland are 0-0-6 now and were dfeated 3-0 at home by Fulham earlier?

You put it in far better written form than i would of done and it sums up how i felt!
I know they have a couple of players missing but they still have good players and there home form is pretty good and Sunderland are just plain awful and like Mark has said in the past Ladbrokes are a good guide to a price as they have the heads switched on and they are going 1.50 so i felt 1.73 was a nice price!

And Bigslim thx for the really kind words and they are greatly appreciated

Thx again Jhim also

If you use league form (and I do) then of course Fulham are rated much more highly after all they've actually won their last 3 league games at "home" .. well .. Loftus Road ... but you know what I mean.

Meanwhile Sunderland have lost their last 4 aways ... and look dreadful in losing 1-3 at hom to Boro last weekend.

Statistically Fulham has to be the call ... BUT ...

I know where you're coming fom BigSlim ... is it something like ...

This is Fulham's 3rd game in 6 days ... and their squad of fit players is so small that it makes most pub sides teams look numerous. No resting of players there.

Fulham lost 0-3 at Burnley ... will they slip up again ?

What I see here is people making argumants to justify Fulham winning the game .... and I totally agree ... they should win the game, but when it comes down to it it should be all about the price cause thats what your actually betting on. You are risking ten pounds to get seventeen pounds thirty back .... is it really worth it. My guess is no. I wouldn't touch it with yours!

Euro Selections + MAXIMUM Pick

March 1 2003, 11:32 AM

Hi
Well i have completed my Euro selections and there are some very nice bets to be had today!

Singles

Bayern M 1.73 Willhill 2 Points
Schalke 2.38 Premierbet 2 Points
Kaiserlauten +0.5 1.80 Bet365 2 Points
Bastia +0.25 1.80 Gamebookers 2 Points
Monaco 2.62 Premierbet 2 Points
PSV 1.80 Bluesq/Bet365 2 Points

Double

A Bilboa/Galatasaray 2.24 Gamebookers 3 Points

Specials

B Leverkusen Over 2.5 goals 1.73 bet365 10 Points MAXIMUM Pick

Newcastle match both score 1.73 Sportingodds 3 Points

Derby Bookings over 45 2.10 bet365 3 Points

All teams in Prem 3 pm ko to score 5 matches 21.00 Sportingodds 1 Points

12 Points on English At the top
32 Points on Euro/Specials

44 Points staked Overall

Stats for the MAXIMUM Pick are very interesting to say the least as Leverkuesen and Bremen have met 19 times in the league and 17 have made up 3 or more and the other 2 had made up at 2.
Also this season both teams have played 22 games and each have had 13 games 3 or more out of the 22 in the league!

PS Will that is why i am doing Fulham becasue of the price had you not read what i put Ladbrokes go 1.50 and i like others value there opinion and i have backed a fulham side doing well recently in the league at home at 1.73 which compared to 1.50 is a nice price!
They may not win but the price is a good one against a very poor team in Sunderland who i will be amazed if they dont get relegated

Good luck to all

Z

To close thou mate and ok i will take the win but was lucky as Sunderland dominated the game!
But when u r down there fighting for your lifes these things happens when your confidence is so low!
So ok i was lucky but i would of never had a penny on Sunderland.

I hope your bets have gone well also Jhim

My Maximum is in and 4/5 on the english also with bets still to come!
Fingers crossed

Well done to all who backed Fulham !

I bottled it (glad I did) and didn't touch Sunderland. By all accounts Fulham where played of the park but as I mentioned earlier Sunderland have been vey unlucky of late but that still won't stop tem goin down.

Think I will start putting my selections up again because since I've stopped can't seem to be able to pick my own ring-piecehttp://www.network54.com/Realm/footballfixedodds/moon.gif nevermind a few winning footie teams !

Anyway Leicester half time/full time
