...only in division 4 everything is open this was a last opportunity for us..... We will try untill the end but now champions leagues places are very hard to get for us....maybe next year....
You are not the only one disapointed. Since I took over, I could not pick a team who scored more than 1 goal (won twicw, once my oponent did not show, on another ocasion it was also 1-0.
You still have theory, I am doomed for good now...
But, next year, we are back!!!
...feel like I've lost 2 points. They were offered as an away team to chose from (your error, not mine) and I chose them without realising they were playing at home to a side well expected to beat them. I didn't get any real advantage and they could easily have scored 0. As they did manage to get goals I thought I would be allocated them.
Not that this should effect the decision, but I dragged myself out of my 'ill pit', while suffering heavily with tonsillitis, especially to get on to the forum (hence why no analysis of actual games available),
... only to find the team I've chosen has been ignored.
You choose Brighton who played midweek away at Stoke and scored 0 goals. Even allowing for the fact that you choose in a game that had already been played either way the match says Brighton (Stoke) and not Brighton (Rotherham).
Whichever way you see things, how can you claim 2 goals ?
...sorry to labour the point.
Brighton was shown to be a team available for this weekend. I picked them for this weekend and they scored 2 goals this weekend.
2 goals, they played at home and was against Rotherham not Stoke.
They played Stoke in midweek which was the match listed and they scored 0 goals
A genuine mistake, but I cannot give you the 2 goals, because otherwise it sets a dangerous precedent for forthcoming weeks. Had they scored 2 against Stoke then you may have had a case for the points.
...had scored against Stoke and I was planning on gaining some advantage by 'knowing' that I was going to get goals from a game that had already happened then I could see an argument for not allowing me to have the goals.
As I have quite clearly not tried to get this advantage and simply picked Brighton for my team at the weekend then I think you are being a little harsh.
Would you really have given me 3 goals if they had scored 3 against Stoke !? I wouldn't have expected to gain goals from picking a match that had already been played. Why would anyone expect to 'cheat' in this way and subsequently get away with it. I quite clearly have not as I picked a team that scored 0 in the previous played game.
Kind of sums up a nightmare week for me.
Sorry about all this Mark. I know it must be a pain dealing with all this on top of everything else, but I just feel a little hard done by. I've logged on specially (which was quite an effort given how I felt at the time), selected what I thought was a valid team from your posting, my opponent didn't even post a selection, my team scores 2 (against the odds) and I end up in a 0-0 game!
...to accept any decision that's made, but don't think it's fair to say I have no argument for claiming the points!
Mark put up the teams for selection for that weekend, I chose one of the those teams, my chosen team scored 2 goals on that weekend. Fairly straight forwad really. This is the whole point of the game isn't it?
