I bet to win 1 unit in every game, that means I risk much more when laying big odds, sometimes they do win and you will have a loss of several units, but you have to look at the results in the long run, and not be to scared if you end up losing a couple of units.
I had a bad start with these public plays, when some shocker results came in, but i have worked my way back to profit carefully.
I don't like to lay too big odds if i'm not almost certain that the other team will win, laying dogs in english div 1 are a bit tricky and you have to be carefull.
Often its a good bet to lay teams that play against a better team that MUST win. For example the last round in Champions League this year.
A less risky way is to lay favs, english div 1 and Spain A are good leagues for this I think.
Better than laying big teams at home is to lay them when they play away as they often are to lowpriced.
When you lay, look at the odds that bookmakers offer, you don't wanna lay teams at prices that are much higher then any bookie offer, if you do the backer probably will be the one with the value.
Most important is to be selective, don't lay to many teams, and don't lay teams at odds that are too high, just because you don't think they will win. It's all about value, if you're betting with the odds at your side you will be a winner in the long run.
