it's 1-0 at half time to Graham Poll against the Blades,so there is,regrettably,a distinct chance that some players may be in a position to place the third bet on the trot.So - use this thread for 3rd bets ONLY.
(of course,Peschilado will come on sometime in the second half and score for United - C'MON YOU BLADES !!!
Mulv it looks a little confusing with a first second and third bets string and now another first bets string, maybe I'm wrong but doing the maths by end of next week there will be a good 20 strings or so??
Can the people who make a mistake not go back to the original first bets string, just a thought?

but if everyone placing their first bet uses just the one thread,it will soon be a mile long.I'm thinking also of those who fall at bet No5,say,and need to start again from scratch. That's why I set up the new Bet No1 thread starting from 14th April,in the hopes that the earlier thread will just slip down the pages into oblivion as natural wastage.
But open to any advice - never done anything like this before.
does that mean I could have halfed my money gathered and put half of it on PSV and Half of it on Utrecht, same thing isn't it, but if you put on a bookie which allows a X2 in a double would probably be classed as one bet
I see no problem. He has clearly identified this bet as the equivalent of X2,only in a double with a straight win.I haven't checked the odds yet or his 'carried over' units.I'm willing to take that as read for the time being - only get really nosey when someone approaches the magic TEN.
But the principle of the bet is OK.Let me refer you again to what I wrote in the originating thread (and BTW,his whole bet goes down if Koge win or draw,or if Racing lose).Anyway, see below

double chance bets April 10 2003, 1:02 PM
just to clarify on these bets 'cos I use them myself - by way of example
Shrewsbury v Wrexham last night
Say Interwetten gave X2 @ 1.35 and Wrexham won.Simple.10 units @ 1.35 = 13.5 units return
However
Centrebet gave Wrexham @ 2.40 (placed 5.86 units)
bet365 gave the draw @ 3.40 (placed 4.14 units)
so 10 units placed - Wrexham won returning 14.06 units overall. As long as that sort of dual bet is clearly identified,I'd consider that acceptable as a double chance bet but yielding a better return than straight X2.
If anyone has any other queries about types of bets, shout out.Don't go trying to blind me with science - yankees, trixies, pixies, garden gnomes and all that sort of stuff.I'm trying to keep this all fairly simple.

such bravery at this level must be saluted.Never in the reign of Sam would I call this dual - whatever the record books say. This 'derby' beats Roma/Lazio,Celtic/Rangers,Gala/Fener rolled into one (notwithstanding the Sheffield derbies - not that there's a contest there any more !!!!!!!!!!!!)
372 units on:
Real Madrid - FC Barcelona 1 1.80 Cash Point
This is a big derby and all that but when the game starts tomorrow, on the field we have got only one big club at the moment. Barcelona might grow back into being big again in a couple of years but tommorrow they don's stand much chance.
(May I also say - joking apart - that against Man U,Real looked like a football team and Man U looked like,in comparison,a Sunday morning (afterthesaturdaynightbefore) pub side who were blessed to have a really good kid up front - might even play for Holland one day ! - it was a 'no contest'.However, what Utd lack in terms of skill is more than made up for by (a) the manager (b) self-delusion and belief that they actually think they are are the best side in Britain - and belief is a very powerful force.Real are the best side in Europe.C'mon - only a liar or blind man would say otherwise - but beware Old Trafford.Just ask Bayern M,2 minutes could undo you !!!! Be warned ! NEVER lack concentration against Man U,Fergie has taught them the mind games excellently.)
As Shelbourne obliged last week, I've got 244.90 units in my bank and decided to lump the whole on
France to bt Egypt @ 1.20 Betandwin or Betinternet
244.90 pts
The French is fairly inconsistent in friendlies, but after being beaten by Czechs last time out, they need to show their class and Egypt are about the best opponent they could imagine to get beaten even if fielding second-string players (but why is Henry, for instance, in France -- surely not to sit on the bench).
Nine points ahead of Anderlecht with four matches to go, and only theory can deny Brügge the championship. Should Anderlecht fail to win away at GBA, victory here means that Brügge are champions. St. Truiden are in fifth position, and can realistically aim no higher than just outside of the medals. Not a bad team by any means, by Brügge are quite impressive this year. 14 home wins in 15 matches is amazing.
292.4 units on Brügge (Saturday)
1st bet: Sheffield U - Bradford 3-0 1.70
2nd bet: ADO Den Haag - Volendam 2-0 1.72
that draw bet of yours was so close - 89 min winner ???
If that bet had come off for you,I would have recommended that you start off your own tips page - you could have started with a few tips on how to change water into wine !!!!!!! - chateau manc
Semifinal (only one leg) in the probably not so prestigous Czech cup. Two mid-placed teams meet, the home team the better one. Jablonec have yet to win away in the league, but they have had success away from home in the cup. Still, current form suggests that Zlin are going to play their first cup final ever.
264.6 units staked. Kicks off Wednesday at 1700 local time.
1st bet: Porto - Santa Clara 5-0 @ 1.26
2nd bet: Hammarby - Malmö 2-1 @ 2.1
18 May - FA Trophy final
Tamworth to win @ 2.00 = 88.50 units
Tamworh DRAW @ 3.20 = 55.25 units
Thanks to Daz for highlighting the 365 offers.Personally,I reckon Tamworth will murder B'cough.Tamworth won Dr Martens Prem by a mile and have been consistently good since Christmas. And B'cough's form since Christmas has been poor.I can only see one winner (unless Tamworth have a dodgy breakfast !)
