Slovan Liberec

May 11 2003, 9:48 PM

has a very good record at hometo Zizkov, but with the two teams being close I think bookies are being a bit mean on the home team, best I can see is 1.95. Could be worth a bet on the home win though. 1.91 at Gamebookers.

Our local bookie in Greece offers Liberec at @2.00 (trebles acceptable). I 'll take the home win here with also Tromso X2@1.62 and Sporting Lisbon home win @1.4.
Good luck to all

Sweden

The Monday game I'm looking at is :-

Orebro v. Elfsborg (1) odds around 1.90

Orebro are playing on artificial surface and have beaten Djurgardens on it already this season. Elfsborg haven't scored yet in their two away games and will find this tough perhaps. Orebro won the game last year 2-0. Worth a try.

Ternana - Sampdoria

Odds in Italy: 1 2.35 X 2.35 2 3.40
Average Odds : 1 2.27 X 2.38 2 3.60

The standings (38 rounds to play):
1. Sampdoria 33 16 13 4 47 - 25 61
2. Siena 34 15 14 5 38 - 24 59
3. Ancona 34 14 12 8 48 - 36 54
4. Lecce 34 12 17 5 38 - 30 53
-------------------------------------------------------
5. Vicenza 34 13 12 9 51 - 43 51
6. Ternana 33 13 11 9 39 - 31 50

Ternana last 6 at home is 3-3-0 8-2.
Sampdoria last 6 away 3-2-1 9-5.

Ternana no suspensions while Sampdoria miss midfielder Palombo and defender Sakic.

Since 2000 3 games have been played between the clubs in Ternana and 1 time Sampdoria won 1-0 while the last two ended draws 1-1 and 0-0. Also Ternana is the only team that won away to Sampdoria this season. The game ended 2-1.

Any comments about this game? I think a draw but also a possiblity of a home win if Ternana tries to win instead of being satisfied with a draw.

Orebro - Elfsborg

Like hbhoops said Orebro playing on a artificial grass while Elfsborg bad away team. This season Elfsborg away:

Hammarby - Elfsborg 3 - 0
Djurgården - Elfsborg 5 - 0

Also head-to-head looks very good:

02/05-2002 Örebro - Elfsborg 2 - 0
30/09-2001 Örebro - Elfsborg 4 - 1
21/08-2000 Örebro - Elfsborg 3 - 0
19/05-1999 Örebro - Elfsborg 1 - 0
29/06-1998 Örebro - Elfsborg 4 - 2
15/06-1997 Örebro - Elfsborg 1 - 0

Last 6 won with goalscore of 15-3.

Average odds on a home win is 1.80. Looks very good.

Liberec...

May 12 2003, 12:11 AM

Not really sure if I can recommend backing them, they are a shade of last year's team and with Zizkov publicly stating they'll go for a cup place, anything can happen. For lovers of fixes -- there was a very strange sequence of results at the end of last season securing the title for Liberec with Zizkov losing in the dying minutes by a very, very strange goal. With the title chase well beyond both teams and with Liberec ripe for restructuring of their squad... I wouldn't touch it and I smell rat (a little bit).

Ternana

May 12 2003, 4:12 PM

I'm thinking to bet on Ternana because they have the great chance to reach Lecce in fourth position, last valid for promotions. Ternana is a good team and they were one of the favourite to reach serie A at the beginning of the season. But every time they have the chance to make an important step they fail. Ternana let me down before several time, but I will give them this last chance.
Sampdoria has already secured promotion (they need only one point) and I hope they will secure it in next match at home against Cagliari.
I'll go for Ternana (eventually covering with 0-0 and 1-1)

LILLESTROM - TROMSO

May 12 2003, 4:30 PM

i liked news for home team, so i believe that for anyone who does't know them , maybe will help
home team looks in bad form and without any strikers: injuried Magnus Powel (1 goal scored),Uwe Rösler (1 goal scored) ,Rickhadur Dadason , Arild Sundgot ,doubtful Gylfi Einarson
odds in Norway 1: 1,70
Χ : 3,45
2 : 2,70

What a thriller

May 12 2003, 10:38 PM

I watched the Ahlen game and the 3-3 and 4-3 goals both came in injury time! To be fair to the home side, they fully deserved to win as Mainz were not exactly up to their task and Ahlen equalised about 15 mins from time but were robbed by a linesman who later became a star being shown more than players as how he could see anyone in offside trap is beyond me -- situation was -- a pass and some players coming and trying to head the ball into the net, all of them far away from being offside, even marginally.
