Southampton have signed Darren Kenton on a free. He had recently agreed to cancel his contract after Norwich failed to win promotion this season.

Left back Alan Wright and midfielder Ian Taylor have been released by Aston Villa.

Sheffield Wednesday have begun a squad clearout following relegation. Paul Evans, Ashley Westwood, Danny Maddix, David Burrows, Trond Egil Soltvedt, Phil O'Donnell, Simon Donnelly and Tony Crane have all been released.
Livingston have released Argentinian pair Emiliano Olcese and Matias Coelho.
Leicester are releasing ten players ahead of their return to the Premiership next season. Matthew Jones, Stefan Oakes, Michael Price, Martin Reeves, Jon Stevenson, Nicky Summerbee, Jon Ashton, Junior Lewis, Leon McSweeney and Simon Royce are the affected players, and with Darren Eadie and Tim Flowers retiring the wage bill has been slashed considerably.

29 year old AZ Alkmaar defender Joost Volmer is on trial at West Brom.

are going to go..most teams have slashed there squads big time due to lack of funds and you have to wonder where these players will go as no-one is looking to take many players on..someone i know who just 2 years ago was captaining Clyde is now in the junior ranks in Scotland..i fear many more players will be joining him.
Argentina, Trinidad, and all these other places where the likes of Dundee Utd and Livingston get their players, they can get a tan and some exotic chicks and enough money to buy beer and smokes with
they should go to Leith Docks for those exotic birds..can just see East Stirling players released playing in Argentina...sitting on the beach Fish supper in one hand bottle of Ba Bru in the other as part of there fitness regime..lol.
Chievo's Swedish defender Fredrik Risp has been scouted by Celtic. Martin O'Neill's scouts have recommended a bid for the youngster, feeling that his style would be ideally suited to the Celtic style of play.
David Grondin, Jason Dair, Andre Karnebeek, Steven Hampshire, Scott Walker, Chris McGroarty, Sean Kilgannon, Kevin McLeish and David Nicholls have all been transfer-listed by Dunfermline Athletic a year before the end to their contracts. They have managed to persuade much coveted striker Stevie Crawford to sign a new 2 year contract, and Scott McNicol, Mark McGarty and George Fotheringham, products of Dunfermline's own youth set-up, have all signed one-year deals.
