Gamebookers show again their shitty face

Every bookie (rule: game that is abandoned and not ended after 90 minutes is made void) has voided the bets in the game

Beveren - Anderlecht (abandoned and not finished after 79 minutes).

Not shitty Gamebookers.

Although they have the same rule they didnt void the bets (which were lost in that case of course because everybody and his brother did bet Anderlecht win). Mails forth and back several times but they are not willing to change their wrong and against their own rules acting.

I checked at Belgian FF and definitely this game was not finished, they have all other results, but at this game there is only written STOP.
Next days the game is probably going to bi registered as 5-0 win for Beveren.
Let me say, it is the same at our bookies, they all know how much more they will need to pay now.
Lets all talk at all forums and make pressure at bloody bookies!!!

Dajte, tisti ki še imate listke, pošiljajte maile slovenski stavnici!!

Dont be hasty!!

Firstly you should know that the game ended normally. The ref stopped the game at 81'. He then waited for 10 minutes and then entered the field again. He restarted the game let them play for a few seconds and blew the whistle. He let the coaches of the 2 teams know that he had finished the game as 3-0 for Beveren. And he had every right to do that. So as far as the game is concerned it had finished normally. After that the ref wrote on his reports that there were riots in the game and he had to stop it. So the Belgian League will have to decide now what will happen with the game.
Two possibilities exist:
1. Either the game will stay as 3-0 officially
2. Or it will finish as 5-0 for Beveren (like all the games of Lommel lately).

Conclusion: In my own personal opinion, since almost no book cancelled the bets on that game, noone should complain about that. The game ended normally. And please dont support any statement here that Anderlecht would have won in that 9 remaining minutes. They couldn't do it for 81 minutes how could they do it now?
There is also another point of view. What about all those that had placed a bet on Beveren or the Beveren handicap? If the game was cancelled all those people would have not won what was a righteous profit for them according to the game until that time.
A lost bet is always a bad bet in my opinion.

Still if you think that Gamebookers is a shitty book there are innumerous bookies out there waiting for your hot cash

Let me clarify that i am not reffering solely to the 2 friends that posted above but generally.

Regards
Betix

Well, Betix, I agree generally, but let me tell you, Belgian FF have the game as the open game, without a result. And I can tell you, if Anderlecht would lead 3-0 and bookies would find out, that the game was cancelled, you can be 100% sure they would make it void. As they always do!

If

May 27 2003, 2:13 AM

Gamebookers and William Hill have made this there decision there is little I can do about, for Hills is the best bookie out there and by time they have taken this decision whode to say they didn't make the right one and others didn't?

Musti I'll check that out for you.

Gamebookers..

May 27 2003, 12:21 PM

I was questioning them why they voided my bet Ancic + 2.5 sets when the game was stopped and he was leading 6-1 1-0 (bet won at that point allready).

They replied:

Dear Sir,

Thank you for contacting us.
We would like to inform you that the rules in out Terms & Conditions apply for all the sports
offered on the site. In that particular case - 6.12. "If a participant or a team withdraws or the
match is interrupted and not resumed, all the special bets related to the score, number of points,
sets, half time-full time or the different parts of the encounter are void and stakes refunded."

So they are not adhering to their own rules in your case then.

i am registered as taafa to this forum and as musti to the new one. i do not know why you don't see me as registered. please advise what to do to solve this problem.

coming back to the issue, willhill has not refunded my stake yet. i have even sent them the official link of the belgian soccer federation that says that the game was abondoned. (thanks to vilie). i know that almost all bookies have reunded the stakes including gamebookers. that is exactly why i am upset about willhill's reaction to the issue.

to betix: this is not whining over a loss bet. last year in many argentinian games, the matches were suspended and my winning bets were decided as void. so the problem here is not whether my bet is really a winning one or not. the issue is about the rules. if such rules had worked against me before, then i have the right to use these rules to my advantage in this particular situation.

willhill's rules are quite clear; for any game that is suspended or abondoned before 90 minutes are completed, all stakes are refunded.

if they do not reverse their decision, i will close my account there and talk about this in everywhere that i am capable of....

I suppose the question has to be whether ....

May 27 2003, 1:27 PM

the referee actually abandoned the game or just blew for time 10 mins early.

When you find that answer you should be able to apply that to each bookmaker's rules.

If Hills have settled, my guess is that ref blew for time early and not to abandon the match.

The best thing here what can and should be done immidiately is to inform media so they write about it. Gamebookers will get a lot of negative publicity, less members and therefore - smaller profit - so next time they won't play with they own rules.
Of course, if someone wants to go to the court, it's also possible, but this is probably much easier...

not yet but

May 27 2003, 4:45 PM

after my 3rd email they will "forward the case to their bookmaker departement" they wrote. Decision can only be stakes refund because through other sourses it is clear that the game DID NOT finish but was abandoned after 79th minute and the outcome will be a 5:0 and not the 3:0 at abandoned time.

in the end

May 28 2003, 12:24 PM

they refunded all stakes with an automatially generated mail to all punters. Only possible outcome but that throws the right light on this bookie. All others have refunded the stakes with no or few problems. With Gamebookers you need 4 mail communications with 3 refusement mails back to get the case solved.
