Hacking an individual's PC must be about the lamest thing you can do on the net. I mean, what possible joy can be had from a) knowing what resides on Dan's server (MGPRS2 setups and screenshots... YEAH!! ALRIGHT!! WOOOHOOO!! <g>) and b) destroying it. That's just low, there's no other word for it.
Commiserations Dan... hope you get it back up soon and frustration free.
I think this site http://gplrank.schuerkamp.de/index.html is hosted in a similar manner to yours. Maybe it's administrator (Uwe) can help you with the security issue (he's a Linux buff and all round nice egg).
