Held 1st place up until 4 laps to go, when I made my one and only mistake by getting too much wheelspin out of turn 2. Hakk pulled up along side (he had been trailing me by 1 sec all race) and I decided to let him through at the next turn as I didn't want an incident. It was kind of exciting having him in my mirrors all race and holding him off. He eventually won by 4 secs as I couldn't push it at the end.
The AI were very well behaved. The backmarkers made it easy to pass, but for some reason my second set of tyres weren't as grippy as the first and I couldn't quite reproduce the times in my first stint. Does GP3 model that?
This was also the first time that my tyres actually got better as the race went on. I set my fastest lap on lap 16 - I wonder if I just managed my tyres better than usual by not overcooking it in the braking zone and trying to take it easier? Just checked my bhp and it was 794. That may have been why.
All in all, a good race and second against the CCs.
