I agree the class points warp the team standings and I have no problem with your suggestion of fixed points. I think it's indeed rather looney for me to be in 2nd place of the team ranking with my non-result in Level 4. I decided on level 4 as I thought, with relative usage on, pitting twice in a 50% race was rather over the top and now I am ahead of guys who would have lapped me had we been on the track together. As I get more comfortable with the sim again I'll get better, but until then my place in the rankings will be somewhat undeserved with the current points system.
As for points compenation for single driver teams... I'm not too keen on that. I think the points system should promote forming new aquaintances<sp?> and friendships amongst the racers. Now if my teammate would get up off his flabby ass and submit a result I would be a happy bunny.
