Background: engine is toyota 2tg 304 intake and 288 exhaust with P/P head headers and stock efi with 270 cc injectors supra TB. car is hard to start at cold temps will load up eventually has extremely low idle manifold pressure. Map sensor hooked to fuel pressure regulator am using TP for idle have to crack the throttle to start then keep idleing will eventually idle once warmed upsome but still lopes its butt off. Doesn't lack for power on the top end and will pull smoothly untill 7500-8000 rpm. Am I stuck with the hard start or is there any reccomendations?

Thanks

Greg

WHAT SYSTEM DO YOU HAVE?
DO YOU HAVE A FAST IDLE CONTROL?
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TRY TO LEAN IT OUT?

Em4-f I have tried to lean it out using the dial but it doesn't change anything as far as ease of starting, I didn't buy the cold start valve as I was thinkng I would need one (hindsight is 20/20) The car will start right up when you crack the throttle slightly (leads me to believe I need the cold start valve) once started if you lean it out with the knob it will die. I do queston the plugs and the gap when I had the 44mm side drafts I had to go to a hotter plug (1 heat range) because the car would load up at low RPMs I switched back to the correct plugs when I swapped to EFI. With the coil packs should the gap be opened somewhat or kept stock? should I go to a hotter plug? Thanks for the response. Merry Christmas, Be Safe

STAY WITH STOCK HEAT RANGE PLUGS, CHECK EVERYTHING LIKE TIMING, VACUUM LEAKS.
