Hi all,

I haven't had a real chance to trouble shoot this problem yet. This is what is happening. Car was running fine, then the car started popping at 4500-5000 rpm, and it would stumble and not want to rev any higher. I changed the fuel filter, and the popping went away. However, the stumble is still present. I tried a new set of plugs, stumble still present. ohm'd the wires, and they check out fine. Checked the hall sensor, still in perfect alignment, with the proper air gap. The motor will free rev past 4500 without a problem, problem only exist under load, partial or full throttle.

yes, the car has gas in it. The screen in my prefilter before the fuel pump is clean. (hmmmm....did not check the outlet of the fuel tank to see if it might be partially block and reducing fuel flow)

Could this be the fuel pump going out? I'm going to try to check the fuel pressure under load next weekend and see what I find. If I find that the fuel pressure is good throughout the entire range, where shoud I start looking.

None of the programed parameters have changed and the car was running just fine prior to the popping.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Ron
