Has anyone run into this... When I turn my key to start the car, I have to turn it ever so slightly to hit a sweet spot for it to receive spark to the plugs. It's like half cocking the switch... I have pulled the plugs and tested it for spark, and when I fully turn the key and the motor is cranking, I receive no spark at the plugs, however, if I slightly turn the key, motor still cranking, I receive spark. The car starts, I just have to make sure that when I'm cranking it, I hit the sweet spot in the ignition switch. It's like, it's not sending the signal to spark, until I hit that spot.
It's odd, because I didn't have this problem before I installed the SDS onto the car. The same happened when to 3 other of my friends who have installed the system. I'm also installing a Haltech right now and I have the same problem...
I thought it might be the ignition switch, so I pulled one from a car that had no problems, and slapped it in, the same thing happens, I need to find the sweet spot...
So I'm really interested in trying to find a solution to this problem. If you have Any experience with this, I so need to hear from you. It would be really nice to be able to just crank the motor over and not worry about trying to find a sweet spot.
By the way, I'm not slamming SDS, shoots.. I like the system a lot, just need to find a solution here...Thanks

Just a quick guess, it sounds like an issue in the ignition switch or wiring. You did not mention what SDS system you have, D, E or F, so the test would be slightly different.
D, & E systems, for a quick test, power the SDS directly from the battery. Make sure you the proper fuse in-line, just in case.
F systems, do the same as above, but power the coil packs also directly from the battery.
In either case if you do not have the issue when the SDS is on a direct connect to the battery, then you need to find a different place were you are getting power to the SDS.
You may have power from a location were you do not get power during cranking with the key all the way over to the right. When you 'tickle' the key in the middle the ignition switch may still be feeding power to the ON and START circuit at the same time.
Hope this helps.

your problem is your tapping from a accesorie power instead ign.power from the switch.just check if you receive the 12v when cranking and still 12v when you leave the switch.if you leave the switch and power goes then thats start power.dont use that one,if you have 12v and goes when cranking then thats accesorie power, dont use that one,if you have 12v power with switch on and volatge keep when cranking you hit the nail.hope this help.

Thank you all for your help. It was a simple fix. I was moving the wrong 12v Red wire... I had the main 12v wired into a 12v switch, but it was cutting off or dropping out under cranking. Either way, it was an easy fix once I realized which wire I was looking for. Again, thank you all for your help ! SDS 24-7 yo !
