Question, which is better to run with, Map or TPS? I'm running a NA motor with High lift cams, ported head, and ITB's. I'm looking to try and get the best of both worlds, well, as best I can... Drive-ablity and power.

Thanks in advance

hello, in referance to your question what is better to use? the answer is ,if the engine that you are running has a large camshaft and has low vaccum at idle and you engine is not creating enought vaccum , for wich the map sensor uses to operate proper siglal to the ecu then you need to use the tps and bypass the map sensor as the primary source. if the vaccum is appox 12 to 18 inches , then you can use the map sensor as the primary signal and you can shut off the tps. or you can run both if you wish but you have to adjust the map sensor around the tps settings. i perfer to use one or the outher.i am not quite shure what exactly the specs of you'r engine are so that decision will have to be made by you.make shure the throttle plate is set properly if it is open too much then you will get a low reading too.you should have appox 3 thousands oppening so the plate will not contact the throttle body and allows enough vaccum to feed the intake of freash air.if you do not have a manual check the web site from sds and it will explain it in depth wich to use. good luck with you'r engine dave
